  1. happy birthday. what a present.i cant believe the growth in such a short time. looks great and its only going to get better,
  2. thanks joetronic for taking the time to answer the questions ,
  3. looks marvalous, ,ive read that all the time as well, that the crown is the black hole for grafts,t seems his crown loss wasnt as severe ,as one whose is wider on top and goes further down the back. patient must be very happy ,i would
  4. call dr rahals office ,maybe the doc, or the patient rep,can answer ur question, and ease ur concerns,im sure as more people read ur thread you will get more HT vets answering ur question, heal well .and good growth to ya.
  5. another question for you joetronic , two of my favorite clinics hassonandwong and shapiro medical . i also have rahal up there to, but my question is DFUs double follicular unit, i know shapiro medical uses these in certain cases , but i never seen you guys mention it, is there a reason why you guys dont use them ,where as SMG does, i cant tell any difference in photos i see where they are used, i would think its a good to use them to add denisity in cases where the patient has limited donar,, i always was curious about this, hope you can shed some light on this , also say if a person has a 3000 graft surgery and another patient has 5000 graft surgery ,would the scar be the same length, . one last question ,lol, whats your take on beard hair for transplation,it seems to be a good addition to use with head hair ,would a combation of both be effecient way to cover more area with a limited supply of head donar avalible. thanks for reading ,any input greatly appreciated.thnks
  6. thanks for taking time the time to answer my questions dr.glen charles and joetronic, joetronic ur hair looks amazing ,what a journey it must of been for you , i know no two patients are the same and you cant compare, alot of variables, hair color ,hair diamater, balding area ,etc, thats what makes my case unique,i was born with a big head and a high forehead,as i started losing hair, my apperance changed in a tremendous way,so for me shaving my head is never a option, its either a hairtransplant or hairpiece, i have a comb forward and it looks awful but ,looks beter then being bald, i get stares and have been made fun of because of my hair ,or lack of ,lol, but i stay strong on moveon with my life, its never cool when im with my nieces and some stranger makes a negative comment about my hair ,and its happened before, my goals are modest for a HT, just the front half, wear the hair in a cearer style,it serves two purposes ,1 it will frame my face improve my apperance. and make my highforehead look smaller, its how i use to wear my hair and its the best look for me ,its weird because when i had hair i never was made fun of because of my hair or head, its when i lost hair my that things changed for me , anyway i have no problems using concealer to aid in the hair looking fuller, thats why im thinking around 3000 to 3500 grafts to front half . will provide decent coverage to this area and with concelar it will look even better, thanks for reading
  7. i feel the same way , alot of unanswerd questions about smp, would a stand alone smp look good ,or would smp with fue combination work better ,i never scene a person with smp in person ,so i have no idea what it would look like, will the ink pattern blend with your regular hair .when shaved down, this is a silly question but would it be possible to have smp,and if you diddnt like it you could wear a hairpiece untill it fades away, would it be safe for your scalp , i know its a far fetch idea but , i want to look at all options 1st hairtransplant 2nd smp with fue 3rd hairpiece,
  8. i think most guys dealing with hair loss either think about hairpieces or hairtransplants, only exeption would be guys who dont care about being bald, which is fine ,but not everyone feels that way., both have pros and cons ,for myself hairtransplant is something im planning on doing, hopefully everything will grow and ill have a good scar, but you never know,u can research all you want and go to the top clinics in the game ,you give urself the best odds to have a great result, but there are no gaurantees, always a chance you wil be the guy who had poor growth. option two.hairpiece ,question is does it look natural, the upkeep, but you get a great head of hair in miinutes, where a hairtransplant you have to wait a year to see final results, pros and cons in both, it comes down to what you feel is right for you.different strokes for different folks.
  9. srk, do you plan on having fue in the future after your smp treatment, or just smp. thnks for sharing your story, not many smp results on forums
  10. sorry to hear things arent as you wish, have you tried nanogen as a concelar , i use it and it dosent get on pillows or clothes ,i never tried toppik.ive read some guys use dermatch on scar to help conceal, hang in there bro
  11. good luck ,are you having entire area done or just a test patch,
  12. bill i havnt had done anything yet, im planning on a hairtransplant next yr this time with either shapiromedical group or hassonandwong , i joined yesterday to share my story and for support on my road to more hair,
  13. whats up ,im considering a hairtransplant for a long time, ive been reading blogs and forums almost 10 years, your story gives alot of us bald guys hope, . do you have any recent pics of your latest procedure? also what are your clinics graft surival rates, have you ever had a case of no growth? if a patient just wants to go conserative on graft counts, can this be done, you guys have the most cases on line and i checked them all out, lol, after your two bad transplants ,did you ever consider a hairsystem, before you found hassonandwong, the reason i ask is im at the stage where my comb forward isnt cutting it anymore, and having a hairtransplant wolud be my 1st choice, but if it diddnt work ,could i live with a hair piece, because some guys look good bald but im not one of them ,so i would never shave my head ,im 41,and i nw5a, your hair looks great, and framing my face and having the 1st half donewould be my goal, sorry for so many questions . hope to hear from you soon.
  14. hang in there ,try not to let it get you down,i know how you feel ,i too get made fun of because of because of my hair losss and poor comb forward, its not cool at all, be strong and try to think about things that make you happy, find someone you can trust and express your feelings to them ,just talking about it gets it off your chest, you will feel better, remember your not alone in dealing with hairloss and its negative effects on selfesteem and confidence then form a plan of attack, meds ,research, and when ur ready, go for some consulations with some of the top docs out there, my favorite are shapiro medical hassonandwong and dr rahal, two of them do fue as well as strip soyou have plenty of options ,the first thing is to get your mind right ,then the rest will fall in place ,the waiting phase is the hardest part of the process ,good luck in ur journey
  15. hi bill, i read it on another forum, that joe and dr hasson had smp done, its reassuring that both spex and joetronic, two of the good guys in the industry are supporting this new treatment for hair loss, only time will tell how smp will work out in the long run,i know shapiro medical has a case where a guy had smp and fue done ,the temporay smp looks like a win win situation,if you dont like it ,it will fade away.
  16. looks great .was the 1st third of his scalp worked on ,or the front half,it seems his midscalp. hair is alot stronger in after photo,is this from meds or new transplanthair, either way ,two thumps up,
