  1. I was a fast healer as well. My redness faded pretty quickly and I am now 2 months and 2 days post op. I am noticing a little bit of growth as well. Not a whole lot, but it is noticeable. I wish I could push the fast forward button to 2 months. I guess everyone is different, though. I may not experience any more growth for a few months, but I hope not!

  2. Rms...welcome to the forum.

It's good you're doing research with us on this network. First, you really need to get on Propecia. I'm 20 and I take propecia on monday-wednesday-friday. It saves money, you don't have to take it everyday, and it works the same as if you were taking it everyday. I may be able to help you on one of your questions.

Most people go for the strip method because it is the most perfected method in the hair transplant industry. FUE is practiced by only a few doctors. FUE is also a good bit more expensive. FUE doesn't leave you with a scar in the back. However, if you get a top surgeon to perform strip surgery on you, your strip scar won't be noticeable after a while. I hope this helps a little, but I'm sure the veterans on this network can make things more clear to you and answer your other questions.

  3. I recently saw on the news a patch women wear that gives them testosterone and it's their form of viagra. It gives their sex drive a BIG boost. Side effects include major facial hair growth. Who knows. Maybe if a bald man put some patches on his head, he may grow hair? Lol...I can dream, right?

  4. Hair Apparent,

Welcome to the forums. As you know, I had 1200 grafts from Dr Cooley in August. I'm glad to hear your experience was as pleasant as mine. Words don't do justice to how good and devoted Dr Cooley actually is. I would honestly say, as HairBeThere stated, Dr. Cooley is one of the best in the world. Keep us updated and if you have any questions, we're here for you. Good luck!

  5. He was on Leno about a year ago and he pulled his hair back to prove to people he had it and it was a good hairline! You could tell it was transplanted, though. I believe he got his hairline transplanted thick and didn't think about the hair behind it, it thinned out eventually, and he's using all the hair on the back, sides, and front to "swoop" it to the middle to cover the baldness...IMO.

I also heard the same thing Robert heard, he has became known to the public for his brilliance, money, and hair!

  6. Thanks for the replies guys! Smoothy, Hairbethere, and Social (Robert).

Hey Social..I'm just going to have to quit asking questions about anything negative because I always seem to jinx you! lol

The gray hair, the pimples, I just hope I never have to ask you a question about my penis shrinking! lol You'd kill me! icon_biggrin.gif

  7. Hey guys,

I'm a little over 6 weeks post op from having 1200 grafts to create my new hairline. The last couple days, I've been getting a few pimples in the recipient area and they hurt. I busted a few of them and I can feel a few more coming. Is it ok to bust them? I don't want to mess anything up. Thanks for any replies.

  9. jr1, you're probably right when you say working out with heavy weights probably won't affect the sites where the incisions were made, but I believe most people's concern lies in the donor area. Stretching the scar is my major concern. Yesterday was 1 month post op for me and I'm just now starting to lift weights again, very very carefully.

  10. I agree with you HairBeThere. I do believe some doctors out there have managed to clone hair, but it won't make the market for many years, probably 10. Like you said, I hope I'm wrong. I really really hope it's much closer.
