  1. Thanks a lot for reply Aftermath. I take your point into account about propecia but I do use rogaine on a daily basis and I'd think my hairloss has stabilised over the last 2 years. Given that i use rogaine twice daily, do you think im still not a good candidate for a hair transplant? Anyone else got any points/ideas, pls do share them. Thanks
  2. Hello all, I have been considering a hair transplant for a while now and I've been told I need 3000 grafts by both Dr Rahal and Dr Dognay. The issue is Dr. Rahal's clinic have said that if I get a hair transplant, the results may not be great i.e. I would not see a great result because I am a diffuse thinner and there wouldn't be a great difference in my hair from now and after the hair transplant. This is because I dont use propecia due to side effects. On the other hand, I raised this point with Dr Dognay's clinic and their response is given below. "Dr Rahal is one of the good surgeons and we do respect his opinion however, we have seen many patients who had great result without using Propecia. Therefore, we do not see any problem to have FUE." I need help or advice from you guys please. These two are both reputable surgeons and if one is of a different opinion, I don't know what to do. At the same time, I am extremely down due to my hair loss and want to get this rectified as soon as possible with a transplant. Please help or give any advice. Thanks Xabi
  3. any further ideas/thoughts guys please?
  4. Hi. Thanks a lot everyone about your input. @hsrp10 - I am limiting my options to these to purely due to financial reasons. I wish I could afford to go to someone like Dr.Rahal or Dr. Bisange but at the moment that seems a bit on the impossible side. I know that when it comes to hair transplant, quality should not be compromised due to finances, but having said that I don't have much of a choice apart from these two (Dr. Path or Dr. Doganay). The other question for me is if I go for FUE, I'm able to get more out of my donor hair as compared to FUT. To explain what I mean is, lets say I go for FUT, and I might be wrong in thinking this, I'll be able to get more out of my donor hair for any subsequent surgeries (if required). Whereas if I go for FUE, my donor hair is limited. I'm I correct in thinking this or the number of grafts in the donor are will be the same regardless of which process I go for (FUE or FUT)? 2 - Also has anyone seen any bad results or negative feedback for Dr. Doganay, I have seen one for Dr. Path as hairmatek pointed out to me in an earlier post? Again, I look forward to your input guys. Many thanks
  5. Many thanks. Any ideas on Dr Doganay? Any more comments from other members as well would be welcomed. Cheers
  6. Hello, I need advice from all you guys please and will appreciate your response. I have been a member of this community for a long time but this is the first time I am posting on this. I am considering a hair transplant between Dr Doganay in Turkey and Dr Path in Thailand. Both have agreed that I need about 2500-3000 grafts. I just need your guys thoughts please to help me decide as to who to go to. Please let me know what your thoughts are and how you compare the two of them? Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.
  7. Hi Uzy.. Thanks a lot for your honest opinion. Could you please tell me the name of the clinic that you visited in Jhelum, Pakistan.
  8. Hi. Thanks a lot for your reply. I have checked out the patient websites and to be honest, there seems to be a lot of cases where members have commented on various pics saying that the density is not good given the number of grafts placed for some of the patients. Just wanted some guidance really.
  9. Hi all, I am a new member to this site, although I've been a regular visitor to this website . I'm a hair loss sufferer and have been considering going for a hair restoration surgery mainly on the crown area which has thinned quite a bit in the last 2 years. I was considering going over to Pakistan for a hair transplant as it is much more cost effective as compared to the options here in the UK. As I have browsed through this website I came to know about Dr. Humayun Mohamand and was considering going for a surgery with him. It would be very helpful if someone could tell me what is his work like, even though he has been recomended on this website, I have noticed that some of his patients have not had a decent enough result given the number of grafts that have planted. A patient with the username littlewolf, is one example I can think of. Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks
