  1. Save up your vacation days, personal days, take a short leave of absence, maybe you can have a procedure done where you don't have to shave... there are many possibilities. Wearing a hair system right after a procedure is not a good idea in my opinion besides do you really think a hair system is going to look exactly like your hair pre surgery? I think that would draw more attention.

You go into your office for 1 hour once a month? So you'd have 1 month to recover before going in for 1 hour? Do a no shave procedure and then recover for a month and you can comb you hair the way it was and use Toppik.

  2. Stagger, I do not have any updates on this pt as of late. I have reached out to him to ask how he was doing but I did not get a response from my last attempt. I will try to reach out to him again.

Edit: PM sent to HairNeeded asking for update.

Thanks for following up Spanker, Dr. K's work is always worth following closely.

  3. I live in Chicago and have seen his TV commercials touting him as one of the "leading experts" at FUE in the world. He has evidently learned well from the marketing people at Bosley on how to present themselves as the experts in the world. Based on his past I would run in the opposite direction and look into other docs. SMG does FUE and are a 6 hour or so drive from Chicago. Do yourself a favor and do some more research.

  4. What's done is done, you can't undo it at this point. You might very well end up with a naturally looking "thinned" look that won't be the end of the world. After a year or so you need to reassess and then you can always get another procedure to fill out the rest of it. In the mean time you can start researching other surgeons that can take over for you.

I read some of your other thread also and I would forget suing your Doc. You can always ask for some type of refund but that rarely works out in favor of the patient especially when the doc isn't somebody that is well known in the industry.

Live and learn my friend, I did the exact same thing.

  5. You really can't go wrong with either one. Obviously Dr. Ron is the OG but Dr. Paul produces results that are just as impressive. I get the sense that Dr. Ron may be a wee bit more conservative than Dr. Paul. Also I think that Paul employs the use of aggressive micro irregularities, even more so than Ron, in his hairlines to produce natural looking results. Both are elite, artistic, and highly committed to their craft.

When looking at their results, it is hard to tell the difference between the two. Good luck!!

Call Jana or Matt and they'll give you their inputs on their differences.

  6. Hey S Lee. I'm doing well. Scar is minimal and most of my native hair has grown back. A bit of redness has persisted on the scalp. All in all i'm pretty happy for 2 months post-op. Now I just have to wait another 6 months for growth right?

Cool good to hear. Look forward to seeing some pics, now hurry up and wait!
