  1. that post made me LOL. cud care less where he is cause when the HT is done his patients look as good or better then any other surgeons work on the planet for FAR LESS MONEY TOO. the RESULTS speak for themselves....

I would say that most sane people care where their surgeon is during surgery. Your posts seem disconnected from reality.

  2. maybe you can give the doctor some lessons on how to perform a HT correctly. you shud PM him and tell him ur thoughts....

and you didn't make any point other then showing how ignorant you are.

maybe u shud take a look at ur own hairline which is quite thin up front. this patient has far more density then you do so don't throw stones when u live in a glass house...

No need to get emotional, seems like Matt was just voicing an opinion. I think this result looks great but this patient's hairline does look a bit linear so I can understand the point of view that it seems "front loaded" a bit.

  3. Really avoid flexing your neck for the first 4 months. Imagine you are balancing an egg on your head whenever picking things up.

BTW, please ask Mick McHugh what's happening with David Platt's ARTAS result. It would be good to see how it turned out!

Matt does Dr. K advise taking it easy for the first four months so as not to jeopardize scar healing?

  4. Recovery time for FUE is unequivocally faster. Are FUE scars better? Better is a subjective term. Are 3000 tiny scars better than 1 linear scar? If you wear your hair short then FUE scars are less obvious and I suppose "better." If you wear your hair about an inch or longer, then nobody will see what's going on at the scalp level so it's really a non issue.

That being said there is much more of an "x-factor" involved with a strip scar wherein a skilled surgeon can do everything right and the patient can follow the correct recovery protocols and the scar will still stretch.

  5. Unfortunately Robin Williams succumbed to depression today. He was a great performer and I'm old enough to remember watching Mork and Mindy on TV. Really liked him in Dead Poet's Society and Good Will Hunting.

I think he had some work done on his hair which looked really good in my opinion. Anyone know who worked on him? Just goes to show that you can have all the money in the world but if your head isn't right it doesn't mean a thing...

  6. Both good questions. I'd be interested to hear the answer on this also.

I'm no expert but if I was to to take a guess. It may be subject to what 'yields' the most Canadian dollars.

Very cynical. FUE has come a long way in the past few years and is much more reliable now than it was in the early days. If FUE yields have become better and better over the years what is so outrageous about someone changing their opinion?

  7. Really sorry to hear about your situation. It is very difficult to sue a hair-transplant surgeon. You sign away many of your rights to sue in the pre-op paper work and unless the doc was drunk or high during surgery it is not going to go well. The chances of you getting other doctors to testify against another surgeon is very unlikely at best. There have been a few cases on this board where unsatisfied patients have tried to pursue civil actions against surgeons and they all have gotten shut down. Most recently there was a big to-due about one of Dr. Umar's patients and the thread explaining the situation was locked after many weeks of back and forth accusations, which by the way was probably the right thing to do by the moderators as it was really just going around in circles...you can still look it up if interested. That patient basically gave up because he was threatened with legal action and that gets expensive very quickly. You could probably get a personal injury lawyer to take your case as many of them will take just about any case, but I would imagine after looking into it further they would not spend all that much time on it.

Sorry I can't be more encouraging for you but that is the reality of the situation as I see it. Do you have any pictures to post? Was it a recommended surgeon? Maybe it isn't as bad as you think it is and you can get some suggestions on how to move forward. Your situation also underscores how important it is to deal with reputable Docs who stand behind their work and if a bad result happens are willing to make it right.

  8. We've had a few conversations over the years and I've always thought you were an honest and very knowledgeable guy. Glad to see you're staying in the industry and best of luck to you at Dr.Rahal's! It seems as if Dr. Rahal isn't represented as much as he used to be online, I'm sure you can help them out with that.
