  1. hey guys, sorry to post this here but could anyone tell me how to start a new thread?

i have some questions of my own and im new to this site thanks in advance

Go to the blue header that runs across the top o the page and click on "Hair Loss Forum." Choose a section that you want to post in ie: "Hair Transplant Experiences" and then in the top let corner click on "New Thread."

Or choose "Welcome click here on how to learn to start a new thread."

  2. I feel for you man! My sister lives in NJ. My sister-in-law is in Chicago. They are suffering! Sending you some warm weather vibes from the Gulf Coast.

    Ha David you lucky dog!

Warm weather is on the way, supposed to be in the 50's in NY/NJ by Saturday which will feel like a regular heat wave...

  3. After looking at the before pics of your hairline which is quite good, this result looks like more and more of a bust and after seeing the placement of the grafts post op it appears that you had very poor yield. The hairline placement seem a bit strange, it looks like he flattened it a bit too much for my taste. If you always wear your hair longer perhaps you should consider one of the top strip surgeons that can camo this work and get you to where you want to be. Hasson, Wong, Shapiro, Konior, and Rahal immediately come to mind. Ugh good luck man.

  4. The UK article talks about "placing the lab grown cells back into the skin".

Doe anyone know how that process would most likely work?

Would lateral slits of some type be needed?

Or would lab grown cells possibly be able to be injected via a needle

or surgical instrument into the scalp tissue?

NEVERMIND....I see in the drawing it would be by needle injection.

Uh-oh....Mickey85....lol....the dreaded "strip" is mentioned in the new discovery...see #1

My understanding is that they inject the cells into the scalp and let them do their thing. The question I have is how the hair will end up growing? Will they automatically line up in the perfect angle to the other hairs on the head so that is ends up looking natural? Unless the cells somehow are able to know where they are on the scalp how does this happen?

  5. To attack a guy like Mickey and that too personally, is a classless act and not to mention an attempt to derail the thread.

I applaud Bill's decision to NOT lock this thread.

As a fairly impartial observer I have to say that Mickey85 seems to be condescending to anyone that promotes a positive opinion of strip surgery or has a different opinion on just about anything, and it makes me wonder what his true motives are. Feels like a long festering grudge to me. The "FUE Nazis" are really laying it on hard on this forum and have changed the dynamic here for the worse. This used to be a very supportive place now it is one big circle of bickering and sniping, and I guarantee I am not the only one turned off by it.

I agree with others that this thread has run its course. I wish Hairguy all the best in resolving this and getting repaired to his satisfaction. To those criticizing him for getting repaired at 6 months before his final result was achieved, all I have to say is that the position of his hairline would have been the same at 6 months or a year and I can understand why he would want to move on as quickly as possible.

  6. Patrick Kane might be on this site soon! Have you seen the comments about his hair recently in the media? I must say he is having some major thinning up top, but I must give him props rocking the mullet while balding is a pretty gutsy move....

Kaners has done away with the mullet... for the time being at least. And yes he did score last night!!
