  1. I have allready mentioned that one pass wasnt going to be enough to cover my crown
  2. Thanks for your reply Orlhair, im keeping fingers, toes and everything else crossed that i'll have good growth over the months ahead
  3. i too had pimples after 4 weeks and now at 8 weeks even more, all normal, i try and put a warm compress on them couple of times a day and it seems to draw the puss up, they just go soon after, i dont pop them even though i feel like doing it! are you supposed to pop them when they are full of that yellow puss yuky stuff?
  4. 2 month update: those 2 months have flown by, not a lot to report at this stage, im getting a lot of pimples but they go away after a few days on their own accord, i can see little hairs coming out of any pimple though which is all good!! theres one on the leftside of my hairline thats slow to go though. i think some of my grafts never shed and just started growing, its really hard to know, im new to all this and its still very early days. i get tingly sensations in the recipient area, dont know if thats the skin healing from the micro incisions or if its new hairs popping through, my scar is still fairly red and itchy, but my donor hair has it covered, not brave enough to shave it any tighter  what you guys think so far? am i on track?
  5. Hi Slickers I was expecting to have lost way more grafts at this stage, a lot came off while washing my hair during the 3rd week but ive noticed very few shedding since, i think some of the grafts have even started to grow but should i be worried that i havnt lost the majority at his stage?
  6. i have average donor density and fine hair but i was doing scalp massage exercises for almost a year, this greatly increased my laxity to the point where doctor feriduni could extract 4500 grafts in one pass, so they were a great help to me.
  7. hi gnx1 i always knew one pass wouldnt be enough to cover my real estate, the crown will be dealt with in a second procedure
  8. Hi Magnumpi I flew home the evening after the procedure. I was sure glad i was home before that swelling came down my face. I looked very strange and it would have been embarrassing more than anything having to fly home looking like i did from day 2 to about day 5/6. ( the day of surgery being day 0, flew home on day 1, looked ridiculous from days 2-5/6 ). So either fly home the next day or wait a week on location would be my advice. I had a large Fut procedure and had no real pain flying home the day after. I was able to wear a bandana and when i was asked to remove it going through security i just pointed at my head and said 'operation!!' , they said fine and waved me through without getting me to take it off. I can honestly say that the worst part of the whole thing was not being able to sleep properly for a few nights after, i just couldnt sleep lying on my back and it wears you out. I was expecting to be in a lot of physical pain but this wasnt the case at all, just felt uncomfortable and tired from lack of sleep. Started looking and feeling back to myself from day 7 and improved greatly each day after.
  9. hi, did you sign any documentation when you initially put your deposit down? usually a reputable clinic will have a standard form when you book a procedure outlining their terms and conditions etc, in most cases i believe deposits are not refundable.
  10. excellent, yes they do ship to ireland now, i tried that site last year but they were only posting to uk mainland then. I quite fancy the 1mg finpecia,( save my lazy ass cutting proscar up) what does the finpecia cost mate? @ johnwest: ive never heard of irish chemists refusing to give out proscar for MPB, id imagine once you have a prescription from the doc there shouldnt be any issues.
  11. i have used doctorfox for 1mg propecia and it was shipped to ireland, its expensive though. a prescription from your doc for proscar 5mg and cutting it into quarters is the cheaper option.
  12. im 2 weeks behind you and following your case, im soooo looking forward to this shedding phase, NOT!!! wish you all the best for big growth in 2013, happy holidays dude!!
  13. i could wear a cap/hat after 7 days for short periods, after 14 days you are good to go though.
  14. 2 week update: staples and sutures are out, all scabs in recipient have gone, redness has also gone. The big shed hasnt started yet, im gonna miss these little hairs!!! Need to tidy up the crusty the clown look and blend in the sides and back though!!!
  15. i agree it looks great short, has a stringy look to it when he grows it out, thought it looked poor during the euros for a while. Wonder what concealer he uses, must be pretty powerful stuff to not rub off when he heads the ball or is playing a match in the lashing rain, ive used nanogen fibres before and that wouldnt hold up under those conditions
  16. thanks mate, you'll be in great hands, wish you all the best with your procedure
  17. 7 Day update, days 2-5 were days to forget, swelling came down my face and i looked pretty scary, not in any pain just felt uncomfortable, thank god i flew home on day 1 after the procedure before the swelling started on my face!! Scabs are next on the agenda, hopefully they will fall off over the next few days, keeping the recipient area moist is crucial post op and im following Dr F's post op instruction pack to a tee.
  18. Attached some pics of my recent procedure with Dr Feriduni, im now 6 days post op. Photos include day of procedure and day 1. It was an amazing experience, couldnt be happier with the professionalism and dedication of the doctor and all his staff, they do unbelievable work. I got 4500 FUT, i dont know the exact break down of hairs just yet , i had average donor density and hair diameter but my laxity was great, ive been doing scalp massage exercises for 11 months before ( i had originally booked for march 2012 but had to cancel last minute) but i continued doing the exercises all year. the strip was 32cm long and averaged 2cm in width. im a norwood 5. this is procedure 1 of 2. I dont know if the photos show this very well but i have some linear scaring( from an accident years ago) in my hairline, scalp and temple points, will be interesting to see how the grafts grow from these and the coverage i get over time. Will update as the year goes on.
  19. seen him at cheltenham this week, his hts look very impressive even if its all grey now! shame i had nothing on his horse! Redirect Notice
  20. looking good, the next few months are gonna be fun for you
  21. unfortunately i had to cancel my procedure at the last minute due to a family bereavement but will reschedule for later in the year. I must say their office has been very understanding and i havnt lost out financially with them. To me this proves their class considering they lost out on a whole days surgery and wouldnt have had the time to book somebody else in at such short notice.
  22. this is an excellent point and very relevant to the guy thats unhappy with his farjo procedure whereby just over 3000 grafts were used over a larger area. It seems to me that 5000/6000 grafts would be needed to get decent coverage from hairline to the top of the head before anything is put in the crown area on norwood 5/6 guys. Nice work once again from Dr Rahal on this lucky guy.
