  1. Great result so far. What is your reason for wanting a second session?
  2. 3 Month update. Pretty pleased with it. Wearing hats a lot now due to the patchiness of it. Seem to be itching a lot on the transplanted area, trying not to scratch it. Is there something I can put on it to stop the itching that won’t affect it?
  3. It is a pity that you aren’t happy. Looking at the pics, there is a definite improvement. I think it looks impressive and am hoping to look as good 6 months in. As stated many times on this forum it takes upto 12 months to see, you still have 6 months. Hopefully you will be happy in the end 👍🏼
  4. I think it looks loads better than your pre photo. Looks like good progress
  5. Similar to Ajamilos point.. Whilst I am happy in general with what I received at the clinic, the reason for this forum is to alert others to help make their decision. I was there in December. On my transplant day, there was definitely 5 of us that day, I had lunch with one and shared the taxi back with three others. This probably is the reason why the cost of his procedure is low and his availability is high compared to others. My only slight issue, halfway through the day there was a different technician who joined and was very rough. I was sore on that side alone for over a week
  6. Two guys from Germany(same village but didn’t know each other😳). One from Canada, one from Italy and myself .
  7. The only issue I had after, was numbness to recipient area and itching in donor area. Hopefully it’s sorted itself out
  8. One month update. I found my follicle details. My amount was 4760. I don’t know if there’s a way to edit original title I appear to have shedded all transplanted hair. Feels like stubble on top. There is still a strange numb sensation in the recipient area. It is lessening over time Pics of my donor. Thankfully the itching has finally stopped
  9. I was there last month. On the day I visited, there was five of us. I was happy overall with how it went.
  10. 4400 Grafts Resul Yaman - End of Dec 23 Apologies if this is too long..... I'm longtime lurker of this forum, joined in 2011, and finally had the knowledge, courage and funds to go through with it. This forum was been an incredible resource in making my decision. Now a month in, finally have time to add my review and share my ongoing progress. My hair loss has been gradual, but I didn’t realise how bad it was until I sent the pre consultation photos. I feel I have realistic hopes for this transplant, and am aware it takes upto a year. After contacting four different locations, they all responded with their consultations over WhatsApp or email. I did have a videochat with one also. Eventually I whittled it down to two and decided on Resul Yaman. My decision was based on two things. Due to my work I only have a small window where I can have some downtime, so availability was key. The other factor was the method, I was swayed by the manual implanter being used instead of a micrometer. I am not an expert in these techniques, I just felt more comfortable with the first. One location did offer a two day implant, fully manual extraction and implant. This would have been my choice but unfortunately, no availability. After booking, a few WhatsApp messages were exchanged, with regards to Transportation and hotels etc. Very simple, then a countdown to the day. I arrived in Turkey and stopped in the Movenpick, which was a very nice hotel and the room had a living space. Room service was decent and not too expensive. Not being able to drink whilst away was difficult On the day of the operation I was picked up from the Hotel and taken to the surgery. Very busy place. It has a resident cat. This helped with my anxiety a little Dr Yaman is on the top floor. Met Dogs and Dr Yaman and had a chat about hairline. We decided to go slightly higher than my natural hairline due to my age and the amount required to cover. Other surgeries mentioned doing the front bit first, then returning a year later to do the crown. I preferred to have full coverage in one visit. After consolation with Dr Yaman I was taken to get my head shaved. I felt a slight panic, this was eased by Xanax. Which I was very glad of. I was then taken to separate transplant room and met the technicians, there was three of them. The anaesthetic was the first process. A lot has been written about these, and I was dreading them. Whilst they did hurt, they are more uncomfortable than painful, and the feeling after complete was very strange. Dr Yaman then came in and did the incisions before Extractions took place. During the whole process, I would recommend getting some noise cancelling earphones for this bit, I put Netflix or Spotify on my phone and just tried to forget where I was. Its a long time to be lay down on a bed. I wasn’t paying attention to times I know I was there fro 9am to 7pm, with a break halfway through for food. With regards to the process. Because the incisions were done first, it meant I had to have another load of injections in the frontal part of my head. This was not ideal. Nice Lunch Once finished I was given the instructions for the evening, I was also given painkillers, these helped when the Anaesthetic wore off. I did notice during the implantation process one technician was a lot more forceful than the other two. This side of my head was where the pain was after the anaesthetic wore off. The soreness on this side lasted for a week. The journey back to the hotel was with three other people. This did not include the guy I had lunch with, so on the day there was five of us. On that night I slept on the sofa with a neck pillow and wedged myself to 45 degrees. Next day, was back to clinic, first wash, products for the following ten days. These include Antibiotics, saline fluid and washing foam and lotion. I also received the breakdown of Grafts and Guarantee(which I have misplaced🤦‍♂️). I flew back the same day and have fingers crossed for the next year.............. Night after transplant (apologies for the image quality😬) Day After
  11. Looks really good so far. Your hair is quite similar to mine, I visited Yaman in December. I would be really happy for my hair to look like that in three months
  12. Third pic looks really good. I am hoping for progress is as good as that.
  13. Surely the research involves a lot of time spent, reading the views and comments of the "random guys" on this forum. I can't think of anywhere else that has this much first hand information. It is how I eventually decided who to use for my procedure.
  14. I went in December. Still early days for me, and I am going create a review thread when I get time🙏 On my transplant day, I spoke to 5 people on the day that were having procedures, which shocked me. My incisions were done first in the morning, which meant double Anaesthetic jabs, By the time they were ready to insert the grafts, the original anaesthetic had worn off. This was not ideal. Having not had one before it seemed to go well enough though... I also contacted Dr Gur, Turan and Demirsoy. I chose Dr Yaman for a number of reasons, but mainly due to the dates he was available
  15. Wow, Would never have thought about it, glad you okay. Hope there's someway in the future you can get your HT
  16. Looks good. I have mine booked in on the 20th at the Yaman surgery. Do you have any tips?
  17. I bought this deal via groupon. I had a consultation in Manchester, it was in a 'rent-a-room' with a young salesman called zach. Alarm bells started ringing when he tried to tell me that the procedure was guaranteed until I am 60. That if there was a Problem with the procedure I would be entitled to another one free of charge. He could not pronounce the name of my surgeon neither As soon as i left the building I started writing my email to groupon. I used the email address mse@groupon.co.uk. I stated that the groupon sold the 'Harley Street' address. And that this was unsold due to the consultation being in Manchester and the procedure in Finchley. it has been about a week and i have now received a refund. I am glad I found these forums as I will now be properly researching my ht. cheers stephen
