thanks for your replies.I know the old scar will be removed with the next surgery,I was just thinking if the old scar stretches because of these exercises it can reduce the number of grafts of the new donor strip due bigger scar tissue..

  2. I've been doing scalp laxity exercises for the past few of months in preparation for my next HT (around 20 minutes a day, some days less),and I feel my scalp laxity has improved, but I also feel discomfort on my previous scar area on the days that I do the exercises for 20 minutes.

this is a 3 years old scar and I remember it took longer than usual to heal and I felt discomfort in the area for a long time after the surgery.(my old transplant was performed by a poor clinic).

I also think (not sure) that my scar might have been slightly stretched as a result of these exercises,it is around 4mm now,is this possible? and if yes what can be done to loosen the scalp without risking the old scar to stretch?

also I've noticed since I've started the exercises some pimples appear on/near the old scar which are uncomfortable but usually disappear after few days, all these issues makes me wonder if these exercises are completely safe to do for 20-30 minutes a day?

  3. I really don't think he is using any (at least conventional) concealers, think about it,being a professional footballer, apart from major sweating his head will constantly get touched by the football, and even other players body, that will definitely wipe some of consealers off.there is no doubt about it. and add to that professional hd cameras zooming on his face..

do you really think he will put himself in such awkward situation even if there is minimal risk?why would he do that? he could just have that thin look in the field and blame it on sweating, etc and look dense in magazines, interviews etc until his hairs fully grow.after all he was looking so bald all these years, surely he could cope with it for another year?

how his transplant hairs look so great so soon remains a mystery.

  4. ukpatient,

I'm not a medical expert but based on the information I found on various hairloss websites,it takes longer than 2 weeks for negative effects to appear.

I panicked too when it happened to me but I did not notice any increase in shedding during the time I was out of finasteride.so I assume you'll be fine in just 10 days.

  5. interesting, because I've also noticed unusual acnes on both sides of my head above sideburns (where I never lost hair).and I never had acnes in those parts before.

I started taking Bioting 5mg around 3 months ago.

I cant detect any improvement on my hair maybe hair looks healthier but I'm not sure..but my nails are stronger and grow faster than before.

  6. I've been taking Finasteride 1MG daily for the past 10 years (this includes 1/4 proscar for first 2-3 years, and 1 year of real Propecia),I feel that hairloss on my top/crown area is progressing,I've read some HT doctors recommend upping the dose of Finasteride in some long term users, and was thinking about taking 1.5 MG or 2MG daily instead of 1 MG.

anyone has any advice in this regard??

I am also thinking about possibly switching to Dutasteride but "Avodart" brand is very expensive and cheaper generic brands like "Duprost" and "Dutas" appear to be poor in quality & effectiveness for some reason (based on various patient experiences I read on web) therefore I'm not too sure about Dutasteride.
