  1. you took a wise decision avoiding UK and going to Belgium.both Bisanga & Feriduni are great surgeons and both use manual tools.I've heard about other good ones in Belgium but I'm not too familiar with their work.I did a HT in UK and it was a poor experience I wouldn't undergo a HT or any cosmetic surgery in UK even if they pay me.I've seen so many poor results, HT and other cosmetic surgeries done in the UK.

  2. The hairline design looks good and Bisanga is one of the top surgeons in Europe especially for FUE.I might consider him myself if I decide to do a FUE+Strip Combo.

you had minimal loss and I think you will get great result.

so did you travel back to England the next day after surgery? it's great that you choosed train instead of plane, even thinking about going through airport security, etc with a head like that makes me anxious.

for me travelling after HT is definitelly the worst part.

I've heard hotel accomodations can be very expensive in Belgium if you choose to stay for a week?

how long it takes from Belgium to England via train?

  3. I am considering Dr.Feriduni too,(I live in the UK).I believe his is the best HT doc in Europe.

he has alot of great results both FUE and FUT and they appear to be on par with the very best doctors in North America.

what I really like about him is that he seems to be a very ethical doctor, every month he performs a HT completely free on charge for people who are in desperate need but cannot afford it like burn/accident victims.

you can email them and send them pictures of your head and they will reply to you in detail with cost etc.and you can also visit for a better in person consultation.

to contact them you can either use email addresses that Hariri posted or you can use their online consultation form :

  4. both are same ingredients (1MG Finasteride) made by different companies with different names.

    Propecia made my Merck (USA)

    Finpecia made by Cipla (India)

Propecia is more famous because Merck was the first company who manucfactored 1mg Finasteride and licenced it for hairloss use.by US law other US companies cannot make 1MG Finasteride until 2013.

obviously such regulations does not apply outside US so other companies like Cipla and others can make their own version of 1MG Finasteride..

  5. the reason I asked this was that I've seen some cases where a patient had previous job done with certain amounts of grafts and a decent result for that amount of grafts.but he NEEDED another procedure to achieve more coverage and density.(due small number of grafts used and progress of hair loss) and it was referred to as a "repair" case.specially on occasions where the new procedure's result was poor,"being a repair" case was blamed as one of the reasons..

  6. Really? I never knew that. Did you get this information from them personally? I thought its a one time offer only just like every clinic, if thats the case then its really great. I would definitely consider him for FUE after my scar revision. Can you confirm this again Alix?

this was mentioned by one of his patients in his youtube video comment.that I watched..

I'm not sure posting a youtube link is allowed here?but here is the video:

    (outside video removed)

  7. I just called them personally this morning. Here are the prices..

FUE: Euro 6 (first 1000 grafts) Euro 4 (after 2000 grafts to 3000 grafts) Euro 2.5 (From 3000 grafts and above)

The good thing is that Dr. Lorenzo rate for BHT (Beard hair) is same rate of normal FUE. He agrees to do BHT only for filling up scars always and sometimes crowns (if donor area is depleted).

Hope this answers all the inquiries.

    good to know Hariri,

also apparently the discounted price stays same toward next surgeries.

for example if someone does a session of 3000 grafts he will be charged Euro 6 for first 1000s and Euro 4 for the next 2000s.

if he later decides for a second surgery he will be charged only Euro 2,5 for whatever number of grafts.that's fantastic imo.

how great it would be if some other top clinics follow this price plan.(keeping discounted rate for next surgeries).

for example I am awaiting my 3RD FUT procedure,I need at least 3000-3500 and one of my biggest concerns is what if my strip donor doesnt allow 3000 and I only get 2500 grafts,a later 1000 grafts session will be too expensive.(not to mention all the other hassles, travel, down time etc).

  8. yes I generaly agree, but cost is also very important factor in bigger procedures,if he charges 6 Euros per FUE graft and thats a fixed price, then a 4000 grafts procedure will cost around 24,000 Euros (approx $ 31,000 USD,which is way too expensive.you can get 4000 grafts by the best FUT docs like Rahal or H&W for around 13500/14000 USD (10,000 Euros).

but they mentioned on their website that they have matched their FUE price with FUT so I thought it's gonna be a lot cheaper than Euro 6 per graft..

  9. alix, You are right, he is a great FUE surgeon but he cant do Body hair transplant like Bisanga does unfortunately, for example like using Beard hair. But he is definitely better when it comes normal scalp hair FUE. I have never seen a FUE doctor who has this much FUE results documentation (Especially clear Video). Its Quite impressive.

    Hariri,

I'm sure BHT was mentioned on their website,so he is more likely to do BHT when necessary?but you are probably right for BHT Bisanga and Umar are the leaders.

also in the website it is stated that they have matched the price of FUE with FUT.this is the first time I heard such thing.

apparently he does Strip as well but based on how they described each method's pros and cons it's clear that he is not a fan of FUT and prefers FUE.

if I didn't have a strip scar already,I would become a FUE fan and this doctor would be among my very top choices.

do you have any idea about his prices?

  10. Thanks for this post Hariri,I've just browsed through Dr. Lorenzo's result videos and these are some of the best FUE results I've ever seen, impressive and effective results.based on these results he is definitely one of the very best FUE surgeons in the whole world.I'd say better than Bisanga.

someone mentioned he is not interested in foreign (non Spanish) patients, can't be true??

  11. Whats the point of this reasearch? Its bullshit. Scientists have grown hair on mices soo many times already. This is nothing new. Every year some university does this on a mice and then stops. Its been decades and they havent been able to do anything for human baldness. Shame!

the significant thing is this time they have successfully grown HUMAN hair from stem cells of a balding man on the mouse.

  12. I know taking Avodart is making the Finasteride kind of redundant, but I want to use every little thing I can do to help things out. I'm hoping that one medication will help "boost" the other. I was on Fin for 6 months before I added Avodart. It made all the difference.

I've been thinking about starting Dutasteride for over a year now, having had 2 (poor) HT's and awaiting the 3rd one I am determined to keep as many of my hair as possible, and Dutasteride appears to be a good alternative/addition to Finasteride.

problem is I live in UK and I cannot find a recommended or %100 legit online store to order them from.they are much more expensive than Finasteride (even the generic brands).

and going to a doctor and asking for it is not an option in this country.

also a bit sceptic as I read in forums that some people experienced more shedding when they changed from Finasteride to Dutasteride.

  13. Avodart works noticeably better than Propecia for me.

so are you taking both Avodart and Finasteride together? (according to your signiture)

    if so why?

how long have you been on Finasteride before adding/swithing to Dutasteride?

I've been on Finasteride for a very long time (since 2002-2003 I think) and while it reduced / delayed my hairloss and maintained alot of my hair,I've still been losing hair all these years so I want to try Dutasteride to see if it works better than Finasteride..(also I never had any side effects from Finasteride).

  14. That's equivalently stupid as stating that you feel side-effects yet keep ignoring them. I am sure there are a lot of people in denial. They'll have to deal with it sooner than later. People that authentically do not feel side-effects are lucky. But For the sake of people that do feel side-effects, stating that there's no other situation but pure paranoia and psychological suggestion that they feel the side-effects is not only offensive but dangerously misleading. There is plenty of evidence on the side-effects, in fact it is on the very Propecia manual.

Do yourself and the community a favour and talk about your experiences and people that you know in person and meet frequently, but abstain from talking about people suffering from side-effects, as clearly you have no clue what you are talking about. Avoiding bias is clearly not your specialty. You are just justifying taking the pill and feel comfortable about it, while misinforming other readers, and offending side-effects sufferers.

calm down,I never said people who claim to have side effects are paranoid,I said there are people who link any unusual condition they have to this medication without any scientific or medical basis.

with finasteride there are side effects which will effect some people but not all,and a small percentage of them.

using this medication or any medication in general should be after consulting with a doctor of course..and anyone experiencing side effects should stop using it..

  15. ..They were primarily overwhelmingly negative and discussed how this drug ruined people's live etc... I think you can find horror stories about any drug, the problem for me is that not every drug has class action lawsuits brought about against it.

I'm not sure what my point is here other than to say I am having serious doubts about Finasteride at this point. I haven't experienced any negative sides that I know of so far so it's all a bit confusing.

Ok end of rant, any thoughts?

like you said, there are horror stories about any drug even vitamin c and aspirin.people like to blame finasterdie for any problem they have from depression to headache and impotence..

I've been using finasteride for almost 10 years now and never had ANY problems.

and I know at least 2 people using it long term without any issues.

I believe side effects only effect a low percentage and even in those group they are mostly temporarily.

by not using it you will loose more hair and at a very fast rate.

true horror story would be losing remaining hairs and ending up bald.that would be great depression and with that comes in low libido, impotense etc for many.

also Merck is not the only company making this medication, there are generic forms used by millions of people around the world,so these law suit attemps are pointless imo.I've heard this year Mercks patent on propecia expires.this means other companies can make their version of 1 MG Finasterdie in the US making it very cheap and affordable just like other companies already do.countries where US laws are not practiced.(like India,Middle East, etc)which is good news.

  16. Hi, first time on - hope I have done everything correctly? I wondered if there might perhaps be a handfull of US surgeons that are pretty much accepted as the very best - does anyone know? Would hugely appreciate any advice, thanks again.

    Dr.Rahal (Canada)

    Hasson & Wong (Canada)

    Dr.Bijan Feriduni (Belgium)

    Shapiro Medical Group (USA)

these are my "best" list, but there are more..
