  1. thanks everyone for the comments! I really appreciate the feedback! @gillenator- Yes I have gotten some nice comments recently and nobody has been able to tell. I've had several people tell me I look good and younger now. One person asked me if I had a HT, but I haven't seen him in years and he's starting to thin out in the front, so I think that's why he is a little bit more aware. My frontal 1/3 is still thinner than the rest and I want to even it out. With that said, I'm 90% sure that I want to go back for the second session, so that I can address some areas that I'm still a little uncomfortable with and to move my hairline forward a little. I'll probably do that with the next 6 months. As of right now, there are days that I feel great about the HT and other days that I don't, but I will say that my confidence has grown compared to this time last year. Anyways, thanks again for the feedback guys.
  2. oh and btw, I am on propecia, but only take it every other or 3rd day
  3. Thanks! It's a definite improvement and I know not go too thick. the 15-18 Dr R recommended is also to move my hairline up about 0.5-1cm, so hopefully that will give everyone a better understanding of what we are trying to accomplish. thanks again for the reply!
  4. Opinions needed! Please refer to the link below: Hair Restoration Journal -just shy of 11 months
  5. Thanks. I know I still have a while to go, but I'm hoping to have some decent results by at least 6 or 7 months.
  6. Just posted some pics on my 3.5 month results. Temples are coming in, but i can't tell if my hair has improved. I've let my hair grow longer, so I can't tell if my hairline has improved. Please refer to the below link and let me know what you think. thanks in advance. Hair Restoration Journal -3.5 months
  7. interesting. he appears to have the same type of hair loss that I have and he got about the same number of grafts. I'm 3 months post-op and I'm hoping to get at least the same kind of results he did
  8. Hey guys and gals, I'm at about 9-10 weeks post-op right now and over the past week and a half, I've noticed that my recipient area has become a little more tender when I brush or comb my hair. I'm thinking that this is normal and that it means stuff is beginning to happen/grow. Just wanted to hear some feedback from the people that have experience with HTs and if they had the same change in sensitivity/tenderness while you were at this point in the HT process. Feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  9. Thanks. The ugly duckling phase sucks and I know that I have to be patient, but sometimes I can't help wishing that I could have the final results now. Starting to feel some stubble though, so I guess that's a good sign. I haven't got any pimples yet, so I don't know if the stubble is the only growth I can expect. Pray for me!!!
  10. Just updated my Hair Journal. Any opinions? Some feedback would be nice. Thanks in advance. Link Below: Hair Restoration Site for boloheadboy
  11. brotha i don't blame you because I'm only 6 weeks in and there are times that I look in the mirror and i tell my hair, "Grow dammit!!" lol!! then i tell myself to put it on the back burner because i know that i got a least another 6 months to go before i see real results. some of these guys won't admit it, but i'm sure they too had their doubts when they were at our point during the HT experience. the waiting sucks, but only time will tell how good or bad our results will turn out.
  12. Thanks TTP, I know it's only been a few days since the procedure, but I'm optimistic and I feel me regaining my confidence already! I have realistic expectations, so as long a my results turn out better than pre-op, I'll be stoked!
  13. Check it guys. 1829 grafts one day post-op. Rosanelli's office took some pics too. Once I receive them I'll be posting those too. I'll be updating my progress as much as possible, so stay tuned!
  14. Recent pictures 5 days before HT. Doc. R recommended 1600-1800 grafts to rebuild frontal and temple areas. Sorry bout the crappy iPhone pics, but does anybody think I need more or less grafts?
  15. I currently use dermatch as a concealer, but I'm about to have a HT within the next week, so I bought some toppik. It looks good when I initially put it on, but it comes off very easily. Is this normal? How can I keep it on for the entire day? Any advice will be appreciated. thanks
  16. thanks hairthere! since reading that article i was planning on using the dermatch for the donor area and maybe try out some toppik for the recipient area. what do you think?
  17. Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how long I have to wait before I can use concealers after I have my procedure done. I'm getting my HT done on the 3-31 and I'm trying to get an idea of what my options are. As of right now I rely on Dermatch and it does a good job for me, so I was wondering how soon after the op I can start using it again or if I should continue using it at all. I could use the advice of anyone who has experience with the whole process because as the 31st gets closer I get more exited, but I can't help feeling nervous too. Any advice or words of wisdom will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  18. My deposit has been paid and I have an appointment on march 31st. wish me luck! btw... though my deposit was just paid i've been on an emotional rollercoaster for the past month and once and while still have my doubts about doing the procedure. has anyone else felt this way before they got their HT?
  19. no problem bro. just be aware that i can look a little chalky/powdery, but once let it dry you can put other hair products on to add some shine. it's a process, but it'll be worth it while you wait for the real hair to grow.
  20. I've used dermatch on the frontal hairline and seems to work pretty good. during the past 2 to 3 weeks no at work has seemed to notice. either that or they just haven't said anything. I have a HT planned for the 31st of this month and I hope it works just as good post-op as it has during pre-op.
  21. EP, Your case has inspired me to take the next step because your documentation of your scar with short hair has given me hope. I have to wear my hair short right now because I currently serve in the marines, so I don't want anyone to notice that I've had the procedure done. The procedure that i'm planning is half the amount of yours, but if my scarring looks half as good as yours I'll be completely happy. Thanks again because your dedication to documenting your case and all the input/post that I've read from you has hepled finally make an appointment, so please know that there are many people out there like me that appreciates the effort that you have put in. Congrats on your results! Bolo
  22. baldingbro, thanks! I've actully seen these results more than a few times while I was conducting my research of Rosanelli. I agree with you that this patient is close to my condition. Also, this looks similar to the work that Rosanelli has planned for me, so hopefully he can get me those kind of results too. March 31 can't come soon enough!
