  1. You can name the doc, no secrets here 2700 grafts over 60 cm2 shd give you gd density IF all grafts grew
  2. 2700 grafts on the crown and still bare? you got 45 grafts per cm2 transplanted, it could be that not all of them are growing, high transection rate 20 000 grafts with Umar is abt 140 k, even with some discount its still lot of money and big question apart from price is how many grafts survived There is an interesting theread abr BHT when Dr True was experiminting back in 2006. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/151702-body-hair-transplantation-bht-presentation-dr-bob-true.html I thought Dr True has given up on BH but its good to see he is offering it. Orange hair Any new findings/progress over the last 6 years since you started researching BHT? What yield do you get with chest /beard hair? Is consistency an issue if patient is 'right' candidate(hairy gorilla)
  3. Dr Mwamba uses bh, HLC in Turkey charges 3 Euros..anyone had HT with these clinics?
  4. wow Im speachless, 25 surgeries..how did your donor keep up with all these surgeries, wouldnt it be depleted after 5 or 10 surgeries? How much $$$ have you blown Do you look normal now, you would be nw6 i imagine..
  5. It shd be cheaper than normal fue since yield is lower according to some..or maybe its not yield that is problem with BHT(chest/leg) but some 40-50% of BH is in resting/non growing phase at any time, so it appears that yield is lower, so basically 20000 BH grafts shd look like 10 000 FUE head grafts I dont know abt beard hair resting phase but many Drs seem to use it these days Why BHt is more expensive is beyond me, i would think its easier to extract Bh since its less denser
  6. Valid points by OP ARE there any recommended clinics where doc does everything from start to finish? cld somebody give us names pls
  7. HST has been around for abt 4 years and noone has debunked them yet; Im amazed that you guys are still sitting on the fence regarding HST, it either works or it doesnt. If HST doesnt work we would hear from many unhappy clients by now, that didnt happen and we only hear from happy clients who try their best to document procedure. Gho offers guarantee, 80% donor regrowth and 95% recepient growth; Having said all one have to wonder that why HTN doesnt take a closer look into it, You could visit their clinic and just put their claims under scrutiny just like you do with other members. End of story. You guys have knowledge and means to do it, its not rocket science, no reason to still be sitting in limbo on this subject. Knowing history of HT industry this look like FUE story is repeating itself All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident. Arthur Schopenhauer, German philosopher
  8. Well, it is Dr Wxxxx, from down under he is known for his conservative hairlines and no of grafts Im thinking him, Umar or the other guy in India that was Umars teacher
  9. All There is a guy on HS and TBT forum called gc83uk who had 1400 grafts HSI done by hair science institute. He documented his case very well and it appears like Gho is right when he claims that his procedure is scarless and 80% donor regenerates. I cant send link but if you go to the above mentioned forums you will find GCs case. Im impressed by this technique as it gives high NW cases hope. He has done some high profile celebs includin Dean Saunders who is Nw6, he only had 1 treatment so far,1700 grafts and most impresive part is that he shaves his head which would be imposible to do had he gone for FUT/FUE without scars or white dots. Dr Feriduni one of the worlds most skilled tried to SUE Gho for "lying". Later on he wrote a letter of an apology, accepting the fact that REGENERATION indeed takes PLACE. "He gets 2 hairs out of 1". Btw HSI clincs are booked out for the rest of the year which is a good sign that technique is working as claimed and also he is offering franchise like option for doctors who wants to learn his methods and i belive he charges abt 50K I think its time for leading HT docs to take a closer look at HST, this could be natural and logical evolution of FUE and option for high NWs and prospective patients who dont want any scars. moopookoo
  10. ive seen that case and it looks amazing with only 2000 grafts. Im actually something like this rewind guy. I respect all your opinions but you cant say that 2500 grafts is not worthed and that is 500 grafts more than Rewind. Doc i went to is related to doc that had done his HT, and im not sure why but moderators dont allow his name to be mentioned. I know we are all used to hearing and seeing Nw6 having 8000-12000 grafts, but this is the proof that with fraction of that number you can still have major improvement. Any doc on this website got case similar to this one with same amount of grafts?
  11. Azazelgs Exactly that, it was never going to be full head of hair, as I said the idea is to have shadow, to avoid having slick bald head with no single hair on top, its always nices to have someting to buzz on top then cue ball look So would 2500 grafts give me that or it wouldnt even be enough for 5 oclock shadow look,of course its always better to have more density I would like to see case where theres 20 grafts evenly spread all over NW6, then buzzed. You cant argue that it is still better than no hair at all
  12. Its not that doctor doesnt wanna be named, he doesnt even know Im posting here. HTN doesnt allow certain doctors to be mentioned for whatever reason and that doc happen to be one of them he is a doctor that is known for his very conservative approach and does BHT I went to 2 other docs, one of them was Umar and they told me between 5500 to 7 000 grafts is what I need which sounds more realistic.
  13. Not allowed to mention docs name on this forum. I thought when you have less grafts and if you buzz it looks better then letting these few grafts grow out a few inches. 2 inches would look like you trying to comb over compared to buzzed look which can give you marine look, crown wouldnt be touched and im thinkin I could use BHT to fill it out later on Idea is to create an illusion with less is more aproach however it could be waste of money as like one clinic pointed out that cost cant be justified as there wouldnt be significant cosmetic improvement with that amount of grafts., I calculated and it would give me about 20 grafts per cm2, still better then 0 hair per cm2 but i would still be considered bald rite but not slick shiny bald. Maybe this doc knows that ill be coming back for more after i see some hair on top, it is a way too conservative imo, scalp would still be visible and it would still look bald in broad daylight. Whats respectable minimum density per cm2?( bare minimum shd never go less than)
  14. I had a consultation with the HT doctor and he quoted 2500 grafts FUE and Im NW6, he advised that it will give me nice shadow/veneer and it will frame my face, with conservative hairline and I will be able to buzz it short, thats what i want He added I can always go for more in future combining BHT/Beard but I will probably be happy with 2500 Im just a bit sceptical about the whole thing as 2500 cant do much on NW6 in my opinion, How thin will it look? Or is it common tht some surgeons do this just to get you in knowing you will be coming back for more? Even if there is no transection is seems to be a small number to give me any respectable coverage, What can that number really give typical NW6 when spread over the scalp with high hairline? *Doctor is not recomended by HTN but is well known
  15. WOW this is news to me, never thought SMG would do BHT Is there shift in HT industry where BHT is slowly becoming viable option? I know you guys dont market BHT like Dr Umar does but seems to be more popular then ever before. i think Alan Bauman also uses BHT but doesnt really advertize as much Is beard hair best used for the crown? What is price and yield
  16. There is guy called gc83uk on HS forum, he had 1400 grafts taken out, he documented procedure with high quality photos, donor looks scar free, no white dots at all, check it out If OP went to HSI I doubt he would have any white dots issues
  17. You should have gone for HST instead of FUE, its scarless, 0.6mm punch i think
  18. Is DrUmar the only recommended surgeon by HTN that does FUE only? Meaning all others do either strip only or combo of strip/FUE
  19. From what ive seen he is the best in the field of BHT. He takes on cases others would never do and he gives you actual density. Havent met any of his patients but he seems top class.
  20. You mentioned that BHT has approximately 30% to 50% yield in the best of cases. You are an expert and I apologies for me saying this as I am sure you do know better than me. I have seen cases from different clinicss and research were the survival rate has been 70 to 80%. I would NEVER do BHT if I knew it is only 30% to 50%. There is a gentleman on this Forum Hairtoday and he did his procedure using body hair and almost 70 to 80% grew back. Can you please clarify or am I mistaken. Well that is not the case according to Dr Umar, when asked about yield his response was: Typically, about 85% of planted grafts would manifest on the surface. 10-15% would be in rest phase and the difference would be the hair that did not grow. Obviously there could be individual variations. Also pioneer of BHT that cant be named for legal reasons claims that 95% of BHT/beard grows when he implants them....its confusing How do docs determine yield of HT?They dont count hair I imagine....is there any way to verify how many hairs grow?
  21. Ryan123 What is your body/beard hair like in terms of quality/caliber? I bet you saw this guy full blown NW7 Historic First: Body Hair Transplant Restores Balding Head: 8,000 Grafts | DermHairClinic Case like this one would have been rejected by 90% of clinics, Im guessing you made the right decision. But why 20 000 grafts, this patient only had 8 000 grafts and you are about the same level(its fair to assume you will lose remaining hair on top in near future) Out of 20 000 how many will be head/beard/chest hairs? I think this one looks awsome http://www.dermhairclinic.com/patient-videos/hair-piece-problems-a-permanent-solution-fue-9000-grafts/
