  1. You have very good hair considering you've been losing for over 10 years. Lots of people I know lose it all in less time than that.

That is a huge advantage in your favor. Your crown still looks to be pretty solid, so I think you have pretty good genetics, all things considered.

Dr. Feller is top notch, and is excellent at hairlines. This time next year you won't even think about your hair loss. How many grafts did he quote you?

  2. I don't know how I missed this post! You have done an excellent job documenting with photos.

This surgeons work looks as refined as any. You do look like you are having some extremely early growth! I'm glad more and more surgeons in the far East are being discovered. It's not as easy for someone in that area to find a good surgeon like it is in America.

  3. Proscar is 5 mg of Finasteride. It was introduced in 1992 for BPH. They discovered it also stopped/slowed hair loss and sometimes regrew hair. A new 1 mg. dose was formulated and introduced under the name Propecia in 1997. Both Proscar and Propecia are the same drug (Finasteride), just different strengths.

Proscar is generic and Propecia is not. Propecia will usually run you at the very least $60 a month. You can get 30 generic Proscar tablets for $9 at Walmart, then split them into 4 equal pieces. That makes your monthly average about $2.25 a month.

Any doctor can prescribe you Proscar, just tell them why you are asking for it and how you plan to use it. If you would rather order online, although it will cost you more, a lot of people use 4rx pharmacy.

And as far as Minoxidil is concerned, the 5% foam is loads better than the liquid. There are some custom mixed high concentrations sold online, but they are very expensive.
