Friends of Bosley, Over the years so much evidence and patient testimony has been accumulated to demonstrate that Bosley's results are inconsistent to say the least and that's putting it in the best light. We are all beating a dead horse here. Show us consistent, verifiable proof. I doubt you or your employers at Bosley can do that.

You're right, I hesitated to post my experience about the in office laser but I figured it might help some people and I tried to be as neutral as I could since the results are not extremely obvious... My next goal is to try the Revita shampoo after I end my laser sessions.

Hi all, Just to report that there might be some objective benefits to the regular laser treatments. I have noticed it has stimulated my HT regrowth and thickened my hair a little, my hair feels more full, shiny, alive and healthy. I have given this enough time to work now to truly believe that the laser can be beneficial for some patients, it has worked for me to my surprise I'll admit. I was very sceptical after reading the comments on this forum but now I'll say that it has made a small but beneficial improvement in my personal situation, maybe I am just among the lucky few who got positive results but I would recommend anyone to try it after (or even before) a HT for a few sessions, nothing to lose really but a bit of time and see if it brings you benefits after 6 to 8 sessions. I am of course talking about the in office laser helmet here, I still do not believe the laser comb would work due to much lower power and the time it would take to get the same amount of exposure as you'd get with the helmet.

I only went for a consult with Dr. Ziering, my impression is completely in line with what Pat is saying, I would not consider his practice for a HT based on their lack of verified quality results and pushy sales techniques. It is obvious that Dr. Ziering is in it for the money.

Hello Bill, I thought I read something about Dr Meshkin a long time ago, but I am not too sure any more, maybe on another forum... Nothing on Dr Kabaker. The reason why I posted on this topic is because of the recent surgeon exclusions. I was always surprised to see Dr Straub recommended given the higher standard maintained here. I guess about one year ago more or less, it seemed to me that the site, it's members and reco'd Dr's took a very significant step forward, Pat was visiting many more clinics than he used to and demanded more accountability from surgeons as in regular photo, patient and complaint updates, then he enforced the rules with the Dr's who did not meet requirements much more quickly than in the past it seems. I got mediocre results on my first HT (from Dr Straub), I consider myself very lucky that I had no complications and I would hate seeing other forum members or non members having bad experiences from unproven Dr's. In my opinion Dr's Meshkin and Kabaker may well be just that: unproven. Because I am located in SoCal I am picking on these two but I think there maybe others in different geographical areas who are recommended on this site without recently complying to our current standards of due diligence.

I ran a search and found the info I needed on Dr Straub's exclusion story. Waiting to hear back regarding Dr's Kabaker and Mishkin. Thanks for the info gang.

Sorry if I missed something but I have not been able to follow the discussions on a regular basis for the past few months. I see Dr. Straub is not on the reco list any longer??? When did this happen and why? I did my first HT with him but I would love to hear more 3rd party opinions. I see we continue recommending Dr's Meshkin and Kabaker. I have read about very few experiences with Dr Meshkin but positive if I recall and none with Dr Kabaker, I wonder why Dr kabaker is on the list. Thanks for shedding the light.

Hi all, I just posted recent mid October pictures that show growth but not the full density yet, Dr. Siporin said he could see many tiny sprouts still coming in, I can feel some with my fingers too. I am guessing I am a late bloomer on this second round due to some miniaturization existing before the HT (in spite of being on Finasteride for 3 years +) and a good amount of shock loss after the HT (good thing Dr. Siporin uses ultra refined techniques, it would have been worse) I am now hoping to see the full extent of the results at 18 months. I'll have to admit that after 6 sessions of Laser treatment in his office my hair seems fuller and the scalp more energized, I seem to feel more sprouts coming out. This could be very subjective of course, I have another 6 sessions to go and report back then.

Yes, very good question and responses, thanks to all. Unfortunately my incisions were too deep during my first HT by Dr. Straub and I now have the awful pitting/cobblestoning which I like to compare to the dimples on a golf ball.... There is no way to reverse it and had I known about this site before, well, you know the rest.

Thank you NotGoing, I have been wearing my hair longer to hide the HT and I have kept it fairly long since and that makes it harder to detect much difference. I will take some better pics soon and post them.

Hi NN, Thank you and it's nice to see you here too. Yes, I know, these pics don't show much of a difference, at least I did not use a flash but I need to take close ups. I will do this in the next few days and post another update. In general I do not think this HT has yet yielded enough to make a noticeable difference but I am so biased that I can't even tell any more. You guys will tell me after I post better pics.

I would recommend seeing as many Docs as you can, they will all have a slightly different perspective and you'll learn so much about the process relative to your own situation. I did that and chose Dr. Siporin.

Scarred, I am sincerely sorry you had such a bad HT experience. The overwhelming majority of our membership is true, sincere and dedicated to helping others. It makes sense that you are very upset but you must try to keep the perspective of the big picture. You remind me of the guy who gets dumped by his girlfriend and spends the rest of his life saying all women are whatever @#$%&*. What you are doing here is not helpful, it is negative and counterproductive. This forum is about helping people who want help, it's obvious from your posts that you need help but you do not want it. I wish you to find peace and resolution.
