This was what a little over 700 grafts did for my crown, and it's even thicker now.

You are transplanting the root (hair bulb), not the hair itself.  So pluck if you want, though there is a theory that hairs can only survive so much plucking.  Case in point, women's eyebrows from the 90's. 

Gaps (i.e. scars) in the donor area is what you get with FUE.  That isn't going to change, unless we're talking shock loss here.  

Donor looks great, recipient looks great... what else can you ask for?  👏

Quite honestly you look cool with a shaved head and beard.  Why not keep that look?

Totally depends on the level of loss (and of course the skill of the surgeon).  Having seen Spanker's hair in-person I can say that his HT/hair looks perfect.  He was also a NW2 before surgery - if that.

For me being a NW5-6, I had to accept a receded hairline if I wanted to eventually achieve full coverage.  It's not a perfect juvenile hairline, but it's perfect for me.  

I know what it's like to feel not so great after round 1, but it does look like you got incredible yield.  Not all is lost.  I also had pitting with my first HT, but it does eventually settle down.  The rows are inexcusable, but will be easily hidden with one more pass in that area.  Keep your head up and think longterm. 

Edit* I also had multi's in the hairline.  The punch outs healed so well that they left no trace.

Did you try a lower dosage of fin?  Like .5mg every other day?  I do remember when I started fin 14 years ago I had some ball ache, and I almost quit.  It went away after about 2 weeks and I haven't had a problem since. 

Time does indeed fly... which is why no one should ever be concerned about a year long wait list for Dr. K.  It's well worth the wait.  Congrats @MagnificentAl on a tremendous result!

That's not reassuring, but try not to read too much into it.  How involved was the surgeon during the implanting process?  FWIW, many HT's grow in unevenly at first but even out over time.  It's still early. 

Everything looks quite good to me.  Yes, the left side doesn't go as far back - but it could have simply been a matter of running out of the extracted grafts.  The doctor must have felt they were more useful elsewhere.  

The transplanted hair blends in seamlessly within the mustache.  If I were this guy I would seriously consider a full beard transplant with you @DrTBarghouthi.  Great work!

Looks so natural, would be impossible to tell that's a HT.  It also looks like the new hairs are wirey - so they'll continue to mature, thicken, and settle down over the coming months.  You're still only at the halfway point so definitely expect more growth.  I've noticed an improvement from 8 months to 11 months with my recent HT.  Your donor looks great, and I'm envious that your crown is still intact.  Would love to see a top-down shot!

Can already tell this will be another Wong grand slam in a few short months.  Scar looks incredible.

In my experience with Dr. K I always got more grafts than the initial quote, just something to keep in mind.  

Great interview.  The most interesting thing about it to me was how unequivocally Dr. Wong said that HT's will thin.  He also speculated that there might something different in the recipient region that causes hair to thin.  So perhaps the DHT is not necessarily attached to the follicular root but more of a regional thing (?)...

It's not a great HT, but you are still in the early stages of recovery.  Even if you went to the best doctor/clinic in the world you would still need to be incognito for a few weeks. It's part of the process.  Let it heal, grow out your hair and be patient.  You'll probably need another HT to camouflage the work, but that is at least a year away from now.  

Not sure what that 5 min head massage will do for your hair loss... Yeah, 2K grafts sounds about right.  I do wonder if your expectations are a little high as you posted Ryan Goslings pics for an ideal hairline.  Keep in mind what Dr. K said, further hair loss behind your hair line is going to happen.  Use your limited number of grafts wisely. 

Out of the doctors mentioned, Dr. Ron Shapiro is without question the best.

I don't know for sure since I don't use clippers, but it's probably around a 4 guard.

I will never shave my head due to my FUT scars, but I cannot detect any of the FUE scars I got with Dr. Konior.  My light skin might have something to do with that.  My pigmentation pretty much matches the color of my scars.  I cut the sides and back pretty short, but certainly not shaved.
