  1. 2.5 years post op. Very happy with results. Highly reccomend it, changed my life for the better.
  2. Doc Patient, The aging process is working backwards for Bobman - your comment is out of line. Talk about the glass is half empty!!! Bobman is clearly raising his eyebrows, hence the wrinkles on his forehead. When you do get wrinkles on your forhead, a couple of Botox shots and Shazaam - all gone. Any NW 6's who see those photos can't help but get excited about the possibilities.
  3. Hairbank, Your hair looks great. It looks like the crown is going to fill in nicely. I hope to someday get results close to yours, but it'll be hard to do.
  4. Hairbank, #2 will concentrate on crown and minor fill in. #3 will concentrate on density. Jake, I think quality of surgeon, propecia, and minox are the keys. Everything else may add a little, but since I've done my whole regimen since the beginning, I don't know what else is contributing.
  5. 6 Months post op. Very happy with results. I credit this site with allowing me to find a quality surgeon. Thanks Pat and Dr. Cooley. I'll do round 2 HT in Oct/Nov. Propecia/Minox/Folligen are also working great.
  6. Thinking, I had the procedure on Friday(until 9PM), drove home Saturday at 5 AM, spent the day out with my kids and was back at work on Monday. I had ordered surgical caps to wear at work, but by Wednesday I wasn't wearing them (they made my head sweat). Look at my one day, one week, two week photos, not much redness at all. I followed Cooley's instructions, and had no problems.. I took Advil two or three times, that was it. Personally I take no credit and attribute it to the skilled professional service I recieved from Cooley and his staff. BTW, I've heard the ocean water theory but I'd be concerned about microbial growth in the water. Clear it with Dr. Cooley first. Regular purified water with a teaspoon of salt may have the same benefits. I just used his spray, minox and Folligen on my head. After two weeks, I started rubbing EMU oil at night after the folligen and minox. Hair App, I'm rooting for you too.
  7. Just posted 2 month post transplant pics. I'm happy with results so far. I can't believe how much the propecia and minox has helped in the crown where I didn't have any transplants. I thought it was great to see hairs growing through the scar as well. Dr. Cooley is the man. I'd like feedback on the results so far- Am I progressing quickly, slowly, or as expected?
  8. Sorry, I shouldn't generalize; I'm just going by the experience I've had. But aren't women's smaller hands/fingers better for dental work ? I don't suppose the size of the doctor's fingers makes a difference when doing HT work though. PB PB, I was not offended at all by your statement. You feel more comfortable with female health practitioners. I only go to female massage therapists, I wouldn't say they are better than males, I just feel more comfortable with them. When deciding on a female dentist or HT surgeon, the most important physical attribute is not hand or finger size, but breast size. The bigger the breasts, the less need for pillows to prop up your head. In fact I hear they use them as a platform and it gives them direct line vision onto your head or into your mouth. Sound ridiculous?- exactly my intention. Thanks for the laugh.
  9. Bashing females vs their male counterparts wouldn't be politcally correct, but bashing males is acceptable. Your post made me laugh . BTW, I employ two female dentists and one male dentist. I'm a male dentist. In my opinion, gender has nothing to do with the quality of work. It's the qualities of the human being that matter. Just my two cents.
  10. Bob, I was thinking September 2006 for #2(2500 grafts) and June 2007 for #3 (2500 grafts). That would be a total of 7500-8000. After seeing what you've had done, I may consider flying out to Vancouver and combine #2/#3. What do you think?
  11. Pat, Just did what you said to attach weblog. Looks like it worked.
  12. Amazing!!!!! Undetectable. If he were shaved, would it be visible? Doesn't seem so.
  13. Those stories were told to try to stop a 20 year old from having a hair transplant that he might regret. There's alot of people that like to paint but it doesn't mean they are all great artists. It just so happens that alot of the people here have done alot of research and end up choosing the great artists. People have relayed their personal opinions, not Gospel. I thought it was awesome and uplifting that so many people spent the time and effort to try to help you with your decision. I didn't detect a dark vibe, only one that didn't fit into your initial plan - so your discouragement is understandable. Read the weblogs, they're not horror stories
