Anyone that is considering a 1st time transplant...PLEASE I beg you, DONT

They are a nightmare!!!

Take 3-6 months of research..

The only methods right now that are even partially okay are FUE, tricho closure,HITS method...

ESPECIALLY dont go to Bosely, they make the worse scars, which they dont even tell you about ...they are salesmen and dont have the best technology, Id do anything to go back in time and undo what Ive done and get rid of these scars

Just-a-guy,

I've followed your posts and certainly sympathize with your situation. Bosley is inconsistent, at best, and has butchered many a hair transplant patient.

However, just because you have a Bosley or MHR out there doing sub-par work, doesn't mean there aren't excellent surgeons available who make hair transplants a viable alternative for many. You can see the unbiased, personally posted results of several on this forum, and others, that look great. I'm turning 40 this year and have undergone 2 hair transplants in the past 1 1/2 years. For me, to this point, I'm very satisfied and glad I chose to have them done.

Having endured your situation, you view is likely skewed against HT's, maybe rightly so. I just want those who may be lurking to realize that there are plenty of reputable surgeons out there who do quality work and can provide excellent results.

There are several ways to correct a bad scar.

- See a top HT surgeon who's also got some serious background in plastic surgery

- Use the latest techniques such as the ones you mention

- Fill the scar with FUE

- Talk to a micropigmentation specialist and see if it would work in your case

Regimen: 1.25mg Proscar every other day
