Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted December 18, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted December 18, 2009 Wow, what an interesting case doctor. It must feel great to be able to help this boy out in such a profound way. I think the results of this surgery are quite nice and that you captured and mimicked the shape of his existing eyebrow very well. I wanted to ask a few questions, if that is alright: 1. Do you know if he will need touch up procedures as he ages? Will his face change as he matures to the point where further implantation will be necessary? 2. Is the existing scar tissue from the excision of the nevus going to have any influence on graft survival rate? I know that sometimes in cases where FUE is performed into strip scars, if too much scar tissue has built up, grafts usually don't survive. 3. Was FUE considered for such a small amount of grafts? Thank you for humoring me, and again, nice work. Bill - Seemiller
Dr. Barrera, This is a very interesting case indeed. Future_HT_Doc asked a lot of excellent questions, and I too would be interested to hear your answers. But I am impressed at how natural this child's new eyebrow looks. I'm sure this will play a very important and positive role in his self-confidence as he grows up and matures. Nice work! Bill
