Regular Member cfmhc Posted May 25 Regular Member Share Posted May 25 Hey guys. I’m 1 day away from my 7th day post procedure at Eugenix. 3500 grafts hairline and crown. Clinic has said to do head wash on 7th day, it seems a little bit early to me. Is this standard practice with most clinics and if not, how long is? Moderators Al - Moderator Posted May 25 Moderators Share Posted May 25 That's normal. I think most Drs will say between the 6th to 8th day is when you can start washing your head normal. Moderators Al - Moderator Posted May 25 Moderators Share Posted May 25 I should add that you just need to make sure you aren't too aggressive. Go easy and not scratch or scrub too hard for a couple of more days. Al Forum Moderator (formerly BeHappy) I am a forum moderator for hairrestorationnetwork.com. You don't want to make like harder for yourself by allowing everything to dry up too much before removing the scabs but if you feel you'd benefit from an extra day or so, that's basically fine too. But 7 days is pretty standard yes.
Regular Member mac187 Posted May 26 Regular Member Share Posted May 26 Dr Pinto had me doing head washes a day after surgery - twice a day. Albeit with less than regular water pressure. You’ll be fine mate just ease into it
Regular Member YodaHead Posted May 28 Regular Member Share Posted May 28 It’s fine…but like AI - Moderator said, don’t scratch or rub too aggressively yet. Not all scabs have to come off same day. 12.5k grafts with Dr. Felipe Pitella in Jan 2024.
