  1. I’ll be there on May 19 for my first ever HT. All the best with your 2nd sitting
  2. Hey man! Hope everything is going well. An update? I'm going soon hahaha getting nervous
  3. Hi again everyone, I'm booked for a procedure with Dr Somesh at Eugenix in Mid May. For those who have had procedures with Eugenix before, can I just confirm the visa process with you and tips & tricks once in India. I will be doing my transplant after some travelling, and will then be doing a tiny bit of light travelling after a weeks rest in India. Is the E-visa a suitable option for entry into India and did you have any dramas with this once arriving? If so, what are some tips to make the process a bit more streamlined? Any particular tips from your stay/experience in India that may be helpful? I'll be staying in a hotel that is a bit cheaper than their normal one but they recommended it, and will be most likely staying for about a week post. Thanks!!
  4. Hi everyone, What is currently considered the least frequency that you can take finasteride and still notice a clinically significant change in DHT levels? 3x weekly? Every 2nd day? 2x weekly?
  5. I know each clinic/surgeon would have different instructions on when you can have a haircut of donor/recipient area and wear hats post procedure. How long were you told after your procedure (whichever surgeon/clinic) that you were allowed to wear a hat again and get a haircut? Planning my procedure around some travel so just wanting to get some different opinions!
  6. Hey man! Looks great and loved the video. Any chance you could send some good quality pics of the donor and recipient areas now they’ve healed a bit?
  7. Looks great man. Would love to see the photos from Eugenix when you get them, and how your donor is travelling too!
  8. Following! Hope all goes well. I'm doing the same in May
  9. Hi everyone. I am looking to get my HT at Eugenix with Dr Somesh. I have had a consultation with most of their doctors and decided that I liked his plan and approach the best. I would like to do it without shaving the recipient area (hairline, mid scalp and crown) but am happy to shave the donor. My question is - I haven’t seen any unshaven HT’s from Eugenix/Dr Somesh specifically, does anyone have a link to any they know of? Thanks a lot in advance
  10. Hi everyone, Could anyone provide me with a short list of Dr’s that do all the work on patients themselves? Eg slits, extraction, implantation I’ve talked with Pekiner & Konior so far, and am in discussions but I really don’t like the fact that even with the highest packages the technicians are doing a chunk of the important stages themselves. Thankyou so much in advance.
  11. Hey everyone, I have a question I've been struggling to find a definitive answer for. I have two small areas of what 'seem' to be retrograde alopecia just above each of my ears, they have not progressed any further and there are no other signs of retrograde loss. I have been on finasteride 1mg consistently for 5 years now. Is it possible for when I have a hair transplant done, to also transplant hair from the healthy donor region into the areas of retrograde alopecia loss? This would be to give the look of full hair on the sides as well as the frontal region. I appreciate any feedback
  12. Hi everyone, Just wondering if someone could link me to the list of reputable/mentioned FUE surgeons on this forum? I have been told there is a list somewhere but can't for the life of me find it! Thanks in advance!
  13. Hi Everyone, Just have a question about my hair transplant that I am planning in 2023. I have been pretty set on the idea of Arika Bansal to do my surgery at Eugenix, and came to terms with the fact that even though I am spending over 25,000 Australian dollars she won't even be doing the entire transplant process herself (strange concept to me). I have more recently become interested in the work of Dr. Das at Eugenix too, and have consulted them and been quoted a much lower price of only $9000. This is quite interesting to me as her work has looked phenomenal so far! My concern is - this lower price does not involve Dr. Das to be involved in implantation at all, only the design, extraction and slits. I have heard many success stories from patients here on HRN about their surgery with Dr. Das, did you guys just have her do the above and then have techs doing the implantation? I am really tossing and turning about the whole Eugenix package system where it costs ALOT to have the Dr. themselves heavily involved in the surgeries, but am confiding in their good results so far. Any advice would be appreciated
  14. Hi everyone, I am set on doing a hair transplant at the end of this year/early next year and am still internally torn on what clinic to be choosing. I have seen both life changing and absolutely fantastic results from Eugenix, but have also noticed in recent months there has been a drop off in the number of results being posted? Does this correlate with recent concerns that Eugenix is growing at a speed to fast to maintain quality? I have seen some more recent (in the past year) results that were sub-par in terms of incorrect donor management, poor hairline execution even with the highest packages available with the founding Doctors. My question is - what is the general communities opinion on Eugenix as a clinic and their results in mid-late 2022? If I do go with Eugenix, I would be doing one of the two highest packages with Dr. Arika or Sethi. I appreciate any opinions!!
  15. Hi everyone, I’m looking to get my hair transplant done at Eugenix at the end of this year. My biggest question is what are actual patients of Eugenix’s thoughts on their experiences with the different package levels? I am currently considering only the super premium/flagship packages with Dr. Bansal and Dr. Sethi, and am just wondering if the flagship package with Dr Sethi is worth the extra $14000? I am totally happy spending more money for the best result as it is a life changing procedure. I appreciate anyone and everyone’s opinions thanks!!
  16. just adding onto this @Gatsby, when you message Eugenix on whatsapp with your situation will they then decide which Dr is best for your needs from their clinic? Obviously there will be a large bit of input from the customer but do they recommend one for your needs? I've only ever talked to places with one doctor.
  17. Thanks for the reply Gatsby! I have been on meds for so long and have completely stabilised. I'm more-so just looking into expanding my options and including some comparisons so I can make the best decision.
  18. Hi everyone, I have decided to go ahead and get a transplant at 22 (very nearly 23) and having been on finasteride and minoxidil since I was 19. I was 100% set of Dr. Pekiner in Turkey, but am now wanting to explore some other options to get some other Dr's opinions and to compare prices. My question is: the only other clinic I'm really interested in going to is Eugenix, but I'm not sure of the best Dr. to pick from this clinic as I know there are many great ones. Who is the generally accepted best surgeon at Eugenix particuarly in the area of hairline design and restoration? Thanks everyone, any response at all is appreciated!
  19. Hi again everyone, My post last week about Australian surgeons made me consider going overseas and I'm currently researching Pekiner in Turkey. My biggest question is regarding health insurance given that you're flying overseas for a medical procedure? I know that HT are a relatively low risk procedure, but the use of twilight sedation and infections means the risk is always there. What is everyone's opinions on health insurance to cover if something were to go wrong overseas?
  20. Hey everyone, I am planning to have a hair transplant at some point in the next year. I am very much wanting to stay in Australia/New Zealand and money is not really of concern. I had an initial consultation with Dr Russell Knudsen but was not entirely convinced with his suggestion and didn't like his manner and communication. Found him to be quite dismissive and disinterested to be honest. I'm aware that there are some great options overseas - but if at all possible I'd much rather stay in Australia/New Zealand as I swap between the two countries relatively frequently.
