Luciano Silva Rocha
Hello everybody, My name is Luciano and today I'm gonna share my experience in having a hair transplant surgery done by Dr. Pittella. It was a two-day surgery: 5.264 grafts were harvested on the first day and 6.027 on the second, - by the way 2900 grafts were taken from my beard! - resulting in 11.291 grafts and 21.113 hairs. Yeah, a big surgery indeed! Despite the fact the surgery was a little tiring and I couldn't sleep very well during the first nights, it was totally worth it. Dr. Pittella and his team are incredible, and they did everything so I would be comfortable during the procedure. I look forward to get to know my new hair and to share its development throughout the months.

Regular Member SY7 Posted May 10 Regular Member Share Posted May 10 Update? Also curious about what Dr. Pittella prescribes exactly: Minoxidil 5 or 2,5 mg? And topical minoxidil added? Ketoconazol 1 or 2 procent?
Regular Member Rasputin Posted May 10 Regular Member Share Posted May 10 Probably a class 6 max on the precise scale. Looks like you have a more than decent donor area. With the beard grafts, I have no doubt the result will be amazing.

Although I don't know how physically large his head is, 11,291 grafts for a NW "6" seems significant. Looking forward to seeing his final results! Senior Member SuperC Posted May 15 Senior Member Share Posted May 15 (edited) Could someone help me understand what the light-colored bumps are all over the recipient area? I don't see this with every surgeon, just some, and yet no one ever seems to mention it. Is it the extracted graft tissue not being dissected and discarded, but implanted into the recipient area with the follicles? if so, how does this effect the scalp surface after healing? Edit: I forgot to mention, the work looks great! What a massive transformation this will be! Edited May 15 by SuperC Please direct medical questions to medical professionals. Regular Member Napoli Posted May 15 Regular Member Share Posted May 15 (edited) Happy growing. Indeed that’s a huge amount of grafts taken from your donor with only 2900 beard grafts out of 11291 total grafts, which means that 8391 grafts were taken from your donor in a 2-day surgery. This is going to be awesome man. Looking forward for your next updates. 🙏 Edited May 15 by Napoli
Regular Member BackFromTheBrink Posted May 15 Regular Member Share Posted May 15 I’m sure this will be an excellent dense result. i had literally half the number of grafts you did and had a similar level of loss. Will be following your journey to see just how great it looks!
