Regular Member Diff-thinner Posted March 1 Regular Member Share Posted March 1 Hi again all, I hope you're all doing well, Ive got my appointment coming up on the 19th for my HT and I was just wondering about prp before the surgery. I heard its recommended as it prepares all areas for the trauma about to happen. Is there any info from you guys on this, and should I go on monday for the PRP, or should i just do the three sessions after? thanks in advance Diff

Senior Member Britanium Posted March 2 Senior Member Share Posted March 2 Some clnics/Dr's bundle In PRP at no extra cost. But let's face it elite Dr's are not using it and there is a reason for that. At best and done properly it "May" help somewhat in the early stages, but it's not exactly needed. You will heal anyway, and it's certainly not worth spending extra £$€ on.
Senior Member gillenator Posted March 2 Senior Member Share Posted March 2 There are no clinical trials or proven studies that support any meaningful benefit from PRP treatments pre-op and IMHO, it’s a waste of money…generally speaking, I am not a proponent of using PRP in conjunction with hair transplant procedures. 1 Gillenator Independent Patient Advocate I am not a physician and not employed by any doctor/clinic.
