Regular Member TonTon Posted February 14 Regular Member Share Posted February 14 Hi, Can you gently brush the hairs that didn’t shed yet in the transplanted area, after 2-3 weeks?
Moderators Al - Moderator Posted February 14 Moderators Share Posted February 14 As long as you don't try pulling/plucking them I think you should be fine. Do you have native hair surrounding the grafts? If you do then it makes sense that you need to brush them along with your native hair, but if you don't have any other hair in the area then I'd just try to leave them alone as much as possible. Regular Member Fred2023 Posted February 14 Regular Member Share Posted February 14 Personally, I would leave it another week or two; surely, the hair still has to be very short, so I don't know what purpose brushing them would serve at this early stage. In terms of risk versus reward, why take the risk of irritating your scalp when it is still in the middle of healing? Dr. Glenn Charles
Generally the transplanted hairs are very short and do not require brushing. Unless you have a long hair transplant and those hairs will probably shed in the first 1-2 months.
