jeeb1801
Hey All, Have been a member on this for a while and saw some results from Dr Mwamba a while back and decided to get a Hair Transplant at his clinic. Unfortunately, avoided taking pics of my hair situation before the transplant but had the photos i sent to Dr before the consultation. Will request the photos from the clinic as well to see if they can provide them (although i think i read that they don't email the pics anymore). Basically I have experienced hair loss for the last 5/6 years. It became noticeable in the crown area and the hairline and decided to do something about it. Had reached out to a few clinics. Got quoted from 1600 grafts from Dr Mwamba and 2000 grafts from HLC and 1800 from Eugenix so decided to go with Dr Mwamba. First Procedure was in December and this was solely to address the crown and then we decided to tackle hairline in a subsequent procedure. The procedure lasted around 11 hours. Reached the clinic at 12, had the consultation with Dr Ali and Dr Mwamba and designed the hairline and had lunch before proceeding to have the transplant. Dr Mwamba did most of the extractions himself at the beginning and then Dr ali joined and did some of the extractions. After this the incisions were made on the recipient area, and then grafts were put in. After that had my head washed by Dr Ali before having the laser session. Went to the hotel i was staying at, tried to sleep although was very difficult with paranoia of not trying to dislogdge any of the grafts. Went in the next day, had my head washed again by the clinic, before another laser session. They checked the grafts and said it looked good. The day after was the same as well. Everything looked okay and I came back to London. Here are some of the pictures I took.

Regular Member Lewis Horsley Posted December 31, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted December 31, 2023 Looks good man! I’m seeing Mwamba next month too. do you have any photos of the hairline?
jeeb1801
Didn’t have any grafts on the hairline. Will be going to Dr Mwamba next year hopefully for the hairline. Crown was the more pressing concern currently and hairline recession isn’t too bad atm.
Regular Member Lewis Horsley Posted December 31, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted December 31, 2023 Got ya. How was your experience overall with Mwamba, clinic, team etc?
jeeb1801
Both Dr Ali and Dr Mwamba were super nice. Be prepared for a long day though. I arrived at 12pm and only left the clinic at like 1/1:30am. The anaesthetic needles did hurt but after the initial pain that too was fine. My only concern with the procedure was that I didn’t see how long the grafts were kept out of body so have that worry of graft survival rates. Dr Mwamba and Ali and another doctor switched between themselves at the different steps to keep things ticking along whilst they took breaks. Everything will feel out of sorts during the ugly duckling phase and you really need to give this time for everything to settle down from the trauma of surgery. All the best! jeeb1801
Yeah hoping for that to be the case. I guess recent results from dr Mwamba on the forum have complained about cobblestoning etc and was wondering if this is that too. again understand its way too early to make any judgements as its only 1 month but I guess just wondering if the signs are there already
Regular Member Matt3210 Posted January 8 Regular Member Share Posted January 8 Dr.Mwamba gives irregular results and your concerns are valid. Give it a few months and hope that your skin will smooth out. If not, you can hide it with enough density. You can also remove bad Fue grafts with invisible traces. Good luck.

Regular Member omarca Posted February 18 Regular Member Share Posted February 18 Hi there my friend! Do you still feel the bumpiness you mentioned 1 month ago ? Thanks
jeeb1801
Its somewhat gone now, I think the hibiscrub solution helped with that as the bumpiness decreased substantially after using that for a few days.

This is around the point where growth really starts to kick in. You should see some rapid growth over the next 2 or 3 months. Please update us again next month.
