Senior Member aaron1234 Posted July 24, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted July 24, 2009 Is it painful? I'm over 12 months post op and I get occasional tingling around the right side by my donor area. Senior Member BigBill1234 Posted July 24, 2009 Author Senior Member Share Posted July 24, 2009 No, not painful, I only really notice it when I touch it...
Senior Member aaron1234 Posted July 24, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted July 24, 2009 The tingling only started in my donor area really when I started doing scalp exercises for a future procedure. But yeah, I hear ya. It's not painful, just noticeable. 11 months seems to me a long time to be experiencing numbness I think. Senior Member BigBill1234 Posted July 26, 2009 Author Senior Member Share Posted July 26, 2009 It's actually tender above the donor area, not really at the scar.
Bill - Seemiller
Bill, I wouldn't expect tenderness after 11 months however, some remaining numbness and tightness can linger for quite some time after the procedure. I encourage you to talk to your physician about it and let him/her evaluate your scalp if necessary. Best wishes, Bill
