Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted November 30, 2023 Administrators Share Posted November 30, 2023 Have you gotten checked by a dermatologist? Could be scarring alopecia, or another form of alopecia that isn’t caused by DHT. 1 I’m a paid admin for Hair Transplant Network. I do not receive any compensation from any clinic. So it could be 2 things, dut synchronized shed after 5 years (its exact 5 years starting dut when the shed started) or a shed due heavy calorie restrictiv diet. Regular Member wayek Posted March 29 Regular Member Share Posted March 29 (edited) That could be areata? might have to do a steroid injection for something like that so you think this might've been caused from cutting too much calories in your diet or the opposite? I might have read it wrong that you were adding calories... Also I'm on dutasteride too! I switched from finasteride 2 years ago and I recently went through a very similar shedding just in mid-February like a sudden rapid "flash-shedding" just like you and I was having funny almost migraine headaches at the same time. Now lately I have been trying to gain a little more weight and add calories, could that be something that attributed to my recent sudden hair loss too? I was only on .5mg though and right now I'm in the process of trying to up that at .5mg weekly to eventually 2.5mg to see how that makes any difference..just wondering what your dosage was/is? Fidenz
It might be the stress or lack of vitamins that causes it, you should start eating fish and carrots more and try products with biotin.
