Anyone keep hair short on sides and back? 0 or 1 guard?

Like to keep hair short on sides. I am worried about if take 4k from donor area what will happen. I have finer dark blonde hair. Anyone whop has had a HT keep their hair short? Could you show pics if you do? Thank you.

Obviously if you take hairs that area will be thin.

Yeh i just trimmed it guard 0 and 1 and i had 3611 taken out from the donor...its been 2 month post op..will update my thread with pics today so you can look at it...

If you take hair from your donor, it will be less dense. But even after 7500 grafts, it’s not that bad.

Out of curiosity, say you wanted to grow a mullet back there would you still be able to?

I don’t know if you’ve had a hair transplant or you are just considering it at this point. But have you undergone FUT or FUE?  Same question if you are considering it… Which one are you considering?

now, having undergone all FUT procedures, my last one being almost 15 years ago, I can still wear my hair on the side the back of my head at a number three clip without showing any real signs of scarring.

Had I undergone FUE with Dr. Rahal for example today, I feel confident that I’d be able to support a one clip without showing any signs of scarring.

Now every patient is different and every patient’s physiology is different so I’m just guessing based on what I know about his skill and experience in my donor hair.  After all, I’ve seen and presented several examples of donor areas from Dr. Rahal that are shaved down quite short after every surgery and there’s no signs of scarring.  I will present a few in a few minutes.

Thanks for all the pics so far. It seems for some with fine hair a zero guard skin fade might be better than a two guard. Some donor areas look patchy when using 2-4 guard. Either have to grow longer if can or go really short.

Any thoughts would be good. Thanks!
