Is this something to worry about?

Hi guys! I'm nine days post op and have been more than happy with how my recovery has gone so far. However, yesterday I noticed these gaps in the transplanted area of the new hairline and begun to get a bit worried. I started washing with a very delicate massaging movement with my fingers yesterday and believe some scabs may have fallen off. I am hoping these empty gaps are just where the grafts have fallen off along with scabs but wanted to get other opinions on whether I should be worried or not. Thanks!

Ahh ok I see. Thanks for the link! So would you say it is the scabs cracking or just plain shedding in those areas?

Both, scabbing and shedding.

@deane95,

I understand your concern but at 9 days postop, the transplanted hair is pretty much fully secured and the only thing you’re seeing would be the scab and the hair shaft but not the actual follicle or the bulb.  Those are secured for underneath the surface of the scalp and would require surgery to be removed.

I hope this helps.
