Regular Member MTCM Posted March 15, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted March 15, 2023 Hi, I only see people with long hair after the final results of a transplant. I wonder if is it possible to use a buzzcut style or it wouldn't be good? (I mean, maybe the distance between grafts wouldn't look good, considering a NW5 who got a transplant? Senior Member StillAlive Posted March 16, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted March 16, 2023 HT's create the illusion of density by taking full advantage of the feathering or layering effect of longer hair along with hair thickness to give the impression of a full head of hair when worn at a certain length. Shorter length will invariably expose the illusion, particularly if you have straight hair that tends to stand straight up at 90 degree angles. A good transplant CAN be worn shaved and it won't look weird, but really, if you were gonna buzz/shave, what did you get the transplant for in the first place?
Senior Member Doron Harati Posted March 16, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted March 16, 2023 (edited) I had 3 hts, 1 bad horrific experience by Arenamed clinic in Turkey and 2 successful repair procedures at HDC clinic by Dr. Maras, 1st repair focused on frontal area, this is me with a buzzcut 1-2 weeks after having the 2nd repair (focus on NW4-5 zones), I felt comfortable to go out with a buzzcut. Sometimes bad results can look more flattering with more density illusion with a buzzcut, can look more natural than SMP. Senior Member StillAlive Posted March 16, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted March 16, 2023 It does and with a good HT, your shaved head will have that nice 'hairline darkened' look. When growing out a buzzcut to 1-2cm's though, depending on your hair type, it may end up exposing the illusion vs a NW1's 1-2cm buzzcut.
Hairwise1
when you have a hair transplant you need to cut the hair tot he optimum size that your transplanted hair will look fuller and more natural. The correct hair style and length of hair makes the result look much better.

But shaved would show the scars as well
Senior Member StillAlive Posted March 17, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted March 17, 2023 If your surgeon does good donor management, you are not really left with scars from FUE. No normal person would be able to detect anything unless they glued their eyeballs to your skull.
Rahal Hair Transplant
@MTCM, It is very possible to sport a short hairstyle after undergoing surgery hair restoration. Now how it will look very own a number factors. Some people may wear their hair a little longer because the layering effect of the hair will make it up here thicker. Some individuals aren’t able to wear their hair overly short without showing some visible signs of thinning. On the other hand, many patients can. Below, I presented a couple examples of some doctor help patients that wear their hair propped quite short. Now, these are not buzz cuts but they’re still on the shorter side. If you’re looking for complete buzz cut examples, I can find and present some of those as well. That said, the hair on these patients is Warren quite short and there really isn’t much of a layering effect. That means what you’re seeing is pretty high density.
