Which Dr.? Differ Dr Yaman - HT 16.4.23 - 4360 Grafts

Currently, I am not sure which of these three Dr. (Yaman, Gur or Turan) to choose for my HT. Budget also plays a role, but I wanted to make as few sacrifices in quality as possible.

- How are the three doctors most likely to differ?

- Who would you recommend for me out of those three?

I would like to have the transplant done as soon as possible.

Thank you very much for your help!

If you want a good doctor in affordable budget thn look for - dr turan , dr nader , dr Camacho , dr laorwong

Imo ths all r best bet if you are on a budget ...they have shown good results and they are well experienced and does most of the process in surgery themself....

Both 3 options (Yaman, Gur and Turan) are Great and safe options at a decent price around 1+ euro per graft.

Their main difference is in the implementation method of grafts.
yaman and Gur use the pre made slits method, where the incisions are done by the doctor and the grafts are inserted by techs. While dr turan uses the DHI method where the doctor implants directly the grafts into the scalp without incisions firstly.

You can compare the results of these doctors by typing their names on the search bar and select the one you like mostly.

Hey @Archan, may I ask why you did recommend Dr Turan, but not Yaman and Gur?

Just for personal reasons, or do you think Turan is definitely the better choice?

Jackdaniels or somebody else has an opinion, I would be glad to hear it.

Thank you!

Dr gur mite be good as well ..have seen few people saying tht his hairline work is good...bt i have seen more results by dr turan so i would be more comfortable with him....and did you see results of other doctors i mentioned ? .i.e dr nader , dr Camacho and Dr kongkiat laorwong .....you really shud consider them as well ...in tht price range you won't see any better results thn them ....and if you have budget of around 4 usd thn you will have 3-4 more options who are great surgeons...bt if budget is less thn 3 usd thn the ones i have suggested are worth considering imo...😊

Dear Archan, a trip further than Istanbul would be out of the question for me, as I feel the flight times are too long.

4 thousand euros would be the maximum, which specialists would you have thought of in this price range? I think I would need something like 4000 Grafts, or?

My goal would be to have thicker and natural looking hair.
Thank you for your great information.

Where are you from? Actually its matter of surgery ....its a lifetime thing and just distance should not be a barrier dear...here there are people who are flying way far jst to get good results cause its an irreversible thing ....a bit of traveling pain would be worth considering...

Still if you wish turkey only thn in tht budget dr turan and dr yaman can be considered ...

I'm from Austria. The thing is, I just changed my job and a longer holiday isn't so easy at the moment. Another thing is that I have studied in Istanbul for a couple of months, and I have trust in the people there and I think I would have a better feeling being closer to Austria, just if anything goes wrong there would be just a very short flight. Those are the personal reasons. I wrote Turan, Yaman and Gur.  Before this forum I nearly made an appointment at a bigger firm (Dr Acar), but I think less patients a day fit better for me.

Another thing, they are thinking of using also my beard to get 4500 grafts, because my donor area seems to be not so dense as I thought.

So if you know other Dr for a slightly higher rice, I would be very curious.

Hello @Jackdaniels,

Dr. Yaman uses DHI for the implantation (https://resulyaman.com/de/die-sicherste-implantation-dhi-haartransplantation/) and FUE for the extraction (https://resulyaman.com/de/safest-extraction-manual-punch-fue-technique/).

I could not find information on how Dr. Dogan Turan extracts the grafts. I only found information on the DHI implantation.

Do you know how Dr. Dogan Turan extracts the grafts?

All the doctors extract with the same method. FUE is the method of extraction.

the method of implantation differs from clinic to clinic.

Dr yaman, dr gur and de turan all are good..its about personal choice as all of them are equally skilled ...nowadays yaman is producing good results and refined his technique i guess.. I am not sure but he is doing manual extraction this days so please confirm this with him....and as you askd if i know a doctor with slightly higher price than i would ask you to check out hdc clinic which is in Cyprus..you can connect with @Doron Harati..they have shown good results plus their after care is perfect which includes 7 days stay for everyday hairwash and other things....

@Jackdaniels, from what I know the extraction differs in the FUE method:

- Manual FUE

- Semi-Automated FUE

- Automated FUE

- FUE done by a robot

Yea but they are all FUE.  Most clinics use automated FUE while some of them do manual. You can ask the clinic if it’s doing manual or automated FUE

I want to share my knowledge about the differences between Dr. Yaman and Dr. Turan

Dr. Yaman:

  • Extraction: Micro motor extraction by default. You can get a full manual extraction on request
  • Implantation: DHI Sapphire Technique
  • Split of work:
    • Consultation and hairline design is done by Dr. Yaman
    • Extraction is done by the team
    • Dr. Yaman opens the canals with a Sapphire blade
    • The team inserts the grafts using DHI ("Yaman Implanter")

Dr. Turan:

  • Extraction: hybrid extraction method where both manual and micro-motor punch is used (I asked for a manual option but did not get a response yet)
  • Implantation: DHI CHOI Technique
  • Split of work:
    • Consultation and hairline design is done by Dr. Turan
    • Extraction is done by the team
    • Implantation is done by Dr. Turan (Note: opening of the canals and implantation are done in one step due to the DHI CHOI Technique)

General information: DHI Sapphire vs DHI CHOI

Hello dear community,

sorry for my late message. I've been a bit under the radar the last days and weeks. I had the HT done by Dr. Yaman 2 weeks ago and I must say that I was very satisfied. Dr. Yaman and his Team (especially Ihsan) are very respectful. Dr Yaman takes his time and shows understanding for every question. Since one day after the HT I am now also on Finasteride, around 0.3 mg per day. I also take a small dose of Saw Palmetto and vitamins. A few hairs have unfortunately fallen out at the washings after about 9 days post HT, although I was very careful. The healing is actually quite fast. I hope for a good result in the next few months.

I had 4360 grafts placed, many multiple grafts, but only average thickness in hair in the donor region.
By the way, I decided to go with Dr. Yaman because of this forum and the many real comments. I didn't know anyone personally before who had HT done with him. Thank you for your support and this forum, I might not have done it without you.
