Senior Member Jotronic Posted October 21, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted October 21, 2009 This patient originally had tunnel grafts to secure his old hair system. He came to Dr. Hasson for removal of these tunnel grafts then, once healed, he returned for 4134 grafts in one session. His hair is a bit wet to show more detail. Senior Member Sparse Posted October 21, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted October 21, 2009 Joe, this result is phenomenal! You wouldn't happen to have a pic immediately post-HT to show the graft placement, would you? Senior Member Jotronic Posted October 21, 2009 Author Senior Member Share Posted October 21, 2009 Sparse, While I don't have any immediate post-op photos showing graft placement I do have additional photos that show not only the old tunnels but also the recipient area once the tunnel removal procedure healed. I have added them to the original album as well as this post for explanation. This photo shows the front tunnels. One was placed on each temple to anchor the old hair system with one in the back as well. Here you can see the tunnel for the back at the top of the photo. In this photo you can see the very faint scar from the tunnel removal. This is something that is very difficult for the casual observer to pick out. Here is the recipient area shaved down for a better field of view. You can see the outline for the new hairline. Here is a better view of the crown tunnel. And of course the final result. Raphael84
I find these pictures amazing. They are without doubt, some of the best results that I have seen. I realise that this is a pretty bold statement to make, especially considering the patients age, and the fact that he still held a considerable amount of hair, but I believe it to be due to the "tunnels". I remember posting on a thread that presented the pre HT pics some time ago, and I remember feeling horrified. It was something that I had never seen before, and a complete new visual to me. But having seen these photos, I am truly amazed and very happy for the patient. Of course, any patient who experiences a succesful HT session, especially those who have undertaken mega sessions particularly, see a completely different person from the pre HT to the post HT images. Not just the obvious, the amazing new hairline, the great density and new temple points. But looking beyond that, into the eyes of the patient. You often see that they are completely different person. That they have been totally transformed. This is undoubtedly something I see and feel with this gentleman. A real impact. Again, congratulations to all involved. A truly remarkable result! Senior Member M&M Posted October 21, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted October 21, 2009 Jotronic, These have to be some of the most impressive photos I've seen. These photos should be shown to any prospective hair piece wearer as a deterrent against the unnatural hair piece and a showcase of just how far a hair transplant has come. This patient honestly looks countless years younger and 'modern' with the new hairstyle. Can I ask how the old tunnels were removed? Thanks for all of the angles and high-res images! Regular Member TooThin Posted October 21, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted October 21, 2009 This is an outstanding result. The hairline work is very natural and the density is well balanced. This fellow must be thrilled.

Senior Member Severn Posted October 21, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted October 21, 2009 Wow. The first pics with those tunnel grafts make him look like some kind of mental patient. In the after pics he looks like a movie star or a game show host. It almost doesn't even look like the same person. This is about as good as it gets. Senior Member Sparse Posted October 21, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted October 21, 2009 This result is ridiculously impressive. Dr. Hasson raises the bar for single-session transformation yet again. In fact, this patient would be perfect on Oprah with Dr. H (and Jotronic, of course). Joe, I have contact info for her producers if you want to send them these pics! Senior Member thanatopsis_awry Posted October 21, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted October 21, 2009 One of the finest hair restorations I've ever seen. Possibly the best. I remember seeing his pics a few months back and it was horrifying to see what he has had to endure, and I was hopeful but nervous for how far he would be able to come, let alone in one single session. This is truly remarkable, and the 'ne plus ultra' of all a HT can be. ----------- *A Follicles Dying Wish To Clinics* 1 top-down, 1 portrait, 1 side-shot, 1 hairline....4 photos. No flash. Senior Member Jotronic Posted October 23, 2009 Author Senior Member Share Posted October 23, 2009 M&M, The tunnels were removed via brow lift which is the same thing that can be done for previous hairline work that is too low and unnatural. Not everyone is a candidate for this procedure as it requires, just like the traditional donor zone, a fair amount of laxity in the forehead area. Thanks all for the comments. The patient is understandably overjoyed but to see him in person both before and after and to speak to him is a real joy. The change in his confidence is obvious and well deserved.
