Regular Member EVH5150 Posted January 20, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted January 20, 2023 Hi All, After careful consideration, I finally decided to undergo a hair transplant. I was hesitant to write a review at first. But seeing how reviews on fora helped me make a decision on which clinic to choose, I'd like to return the favor As a 24 year old male I had high demands for the clinic that would perform my hair transplant. One obvious reason is that my hair will continue to recede behind the implanted hairs. Therefore, an aggressive hairline was not an option for me. In January of 2022, I met with dr. Ahmad for a consult. He shared my opinion and even went as far as telling me that he would not lower my hairline beyond a certain degree since that would cause trouble in the future (He chooses to prioritise hair density). This attitude made me generate a great amount of trust in him. Also, the fact that he performs everything himself, from the consult to the surgery, (with an assistant) is a big plus in my opinion. I researched his previous operations with the before and after pictures as well as the experiences of his ex-patients on a dutch forum. Based on these criteria, I chose Fuegenix as the clinic for my hair transplant. I first was scheduled for the surgery in July. Due to personal circumstances, it was postponed to the 17th of January 2023. I had been using minoxidil 5% since i was 21. During the consult, Dr. Ahmad advised me to use Essengen 6 (topical finasteride + minox). This is what my day looked like. at 7:15 AM I arrived at the clinic in Bergen op Zoom. Dr. Ahmad inspected my hair and concluded that the year of essengen use had greatly improved my hair quality/ density in the donor area and in the transplantation area. Therefore we were able to lower the projected hairline a bit further (I was thrilled to hear this). He then took some pictures before shaving my head. At around 8:30 AM i received the local anesthetics (my ego took a big hit due to the pain) and immediately after, my hair was extracted from my donor. This lasted till around 12:30 PM. The extraction process was not painful at all and time flew by. In the meantime, His assistant sorted the singles, doubles, and triple hair grafts. I was given a sandwich to eat for lunch and 2 paracetamol. After lunch (and a bit more local anesthetics for the front of my head). The Dr. Ahmad made incisions using a scalpel for the grafts to go. He placed the grafts together with his assistant and at around 3:15 PM we were all done. I was given some rest and half an hour later I was on my way home in my Car. All in all, it was as pleasant of an experience as surgery can be. Dr. Ahmad and his assistant worked very professionally. Sometimes there was room for a bit of chit-chat among us 3 which eased some of the tension i felt. But not too much to disrupt the surgery. In this post you can find some pictures of the before (the day of the surgery) and after (3 days later). I am not experiencing much discomfort. There has been no pain or bleeding since the surgery. My face has swollen but I expect this to disappear soon. I received shampoo and a spray from the clinic with instructions to ensure hygiene and a good recovery. I hope this post will prove helpful to others and I hope to upload new pictures with results soon!!
Senior Member airporteffect Posted January 20, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted January 20, 2023 Looks super clean. Nearly the same amount of grafts as I just got but in half the real-estate. This will be a fantastic result — I'm jealous!
Senior Member Ryan Daniel Posted January 20, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted January 20, 2023 Clean work, beautiful extraction My favorite part is that you can see the shape of the scabs which shows you that all the hairs are going in the correct direction
Regular Member EVH5150 Posted January 21, 2023 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 21, 2023 Thanks for the comments guys! I thought I'd also show an update on the scabs in the donor area. I was surprised to see that they are already disappearing 4 days after the procedure.

My friends who were curious about how the extractment went were eager to find any traces of the surgery in the donor. They failed to do so fortunately

Regular Member EVH5150 Posted August 17, 2023 Author Regular Member Share Posted August 17, 2023 (edited) 7 months update. I was on a holiday last month so therefore i didnt upload anything at the 6 month mark. Things are going well! I am still noticing new hairs developping. Also some hairs in the front have not reached a very long length yet because they are still young. I expect the result to improve even further in the next few months Edited August 17, 2023 by EVH5150 3
