Dr Mani Mittall - Best UK Hair Transplant Surgeon

Hi All,

Just wanted to share a few words on my hair transplant procedure I had done in October 2021 performed by Dr. Mani Mittall in London, UK.

I had delayed getting a hair transplant for several years as I was nervous about the procedure and the fact that I didn’t know anybody personally that could recommend a good quality doctor in the UK.
Eventually, I came across Dr Mani and noticed that someone who I knew vaguely was featured on his Instagram page so I messaged that person and he came back with an honest and glowing review about his procedure and the service provided by Dr Mani. Therefore, I decided to choose Dr. Mani for my procedure. It was a choice that I am so thankful that I made.

From the offset (consultation) it was clear that Dr. Mani took great pride in his work but the thing that I appreciated was that he was very honest and realistic with expectations. I had been to consultations at other London clinics but the consultations had been with pushy “sales people”. One bit of advice, do not choose to have your surgery done with a clinic that doesn’t allow you to speak with the doctor who is undertaking the procedure first. Dr. Mani conducted the consultation and he does the procedure too.

On the day of the procedure I arrived around 9am, before going down to the treatment room I had a meeting with Dr. Mani and he was ensuring I was ok ahead of the treatment, comfortable with the treatment that has been agreed and fielded any questions or concerns that I had.

The procedure started with my existing hair being shaved off then Dr.Mani began by drawing the areas on to my head where the newly transplanted hair would go. Once we were both happy the procedure began.

People often ask, does it hurt? In all honesty, no. When the first anaesthetic injection is made there is quite a sharp scratch but once the anaesthetic takes effect you don’t feel any pain. Throughout the procedure Dr.Mani regularly asks how you’re feeling and if required he will give you more anaesthetic to ensure you don’t encounter any pain.
Another question I get asked is, “does the doctor do the whole procedure as I’ve heard at some clinics the assistants do most of it?”

Yes, Dr.Mani does all of the main parts of the procedure, he has two assistants with him who offer support but the main and most important parts of the procedure are all completed by Dr.Mani.

The procedure was a whole day, so don’t expect to come and go in a few hours. I had around 2100 grafts. Please refer to some photos during the procedure and the days and months after. I am delighted with the results and my hair line is nothing short of incredible considering how bad it was. I cannot recommend Dr Mani Mittall enough, if you’re considering a UK hair transplant, please speak with Dr Mani Mittall I can assure you it will be the best decision that you make.

I am seeing more and more results from this Dr all of a sudden, not saying its suspicious but is he currently encouraging patients to post?

From what I have seen it’s good work though…

I thought the same. Nothing wrong with that though - the cases I've seen so far all look stellar but it would be nice if some of the patients stick around on the forum a bit longer or posted progress journey's from start to finish.

was thinking the same thing lol, he’s clearly asking his previous patients to come on here, fair enough if he’s putting out good work 👏🏻

Every single post I've seen from this Dr have been boilerplate reviews posted after a year

The results are good but why isn't anybody posting an organic journey?

Looks like a good result but how familiar with you are other UK surgeons in order to make the claim that this doctor is the best?

2,000 grafts FUT Dr. Feller, July 27th 2012. 23 years old at the time. Excellent result. Need crown sorted eventually but concealer works well for now.

Propecia and minoxidil since 2010. Fine for 8 years - bad sides after switching to Aindeem in 2018.

Switched to topical fin/minox combo from Minoxidil Max in October 2020, along with dermarolling 1x a week.

Wrote a book for newbies called Beating Hair Loss, available on Amazon

Without derailing the thread to much just a quick search shows these:

https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/search/?&q=Manish mittal&search_and_or=or

So yeh like you say, these are not full organic journeys, and do look more like marketing since they all pretty much show the same pattern of pics and posting details. Words being thrown around like “The best” and “Miracle” which are not true at all.

Hi,

Firstly, Dr Mani has not paid me to post, neither did he ask me to post here. I was really grateful for the work he has done on me so I asked him where I could review his work and he advised me within this group would be good. I can see some cynical posts against this which is fine and people are entitled to their opinions. However, my results speak for themselves and you can clearly see that these pictures I’ve posted are true images and not “stock” photos which other clinics regularly post.
