Aussie travelling to Chicago - uhh, help?

Hey gang,

Seeing Dr Konior this month, and I've never been to the US.

Any of the Aussies that have done this trek, have any advice? Or anyone for that matter? Weather, paying for things, getting around, are ubers from the airport a scam, etc.

I'm staying in an Airbnb, close to the clinic, so that's no issue.

I'll be there for about 6 days. Appreciate any advice you can offer - just want to make sure I'm not forgetting/overlooking anything.

I’m not Australian, but the weather in Chicago is cold. Bring plenty of warm clothing. Ubers from the airport are the way to go, I paid a taxi the first time it cost $30 to get to oak park. An uber cost $15. I would use credit card for paying. No need for cash. You’ll get screwed on the exchange rate, plus you probably won’t end up spending it all.
