Optimal Donor Management: Best European doctors?

Recommended Posts

Thank you to everyone involved in running and maintaining this website, as well as the larger community for contributing - what an invaluable resource.

I have a question if you folks can point me in the right direction Id really appreciate it: Im looking for a doctor in Europe who specialises in optimal donor management, ability to create decent natural outcomes with the least amount of grafts.

understand that the community considers Dr Sethi to be the most talented in that regard, if you know any could you please recommend a few good doctors in Western Europe (ideally with a reasonable waiting list, not more than 1 or 2 years).

I had a look at the Hair Restoration Network recommended doctors but i was not able to infer anything  regarding this, so please help if you can.

Thank you very much in advance,

Rafa

You have to submit virtual consultations to find out their waiting time.

Thank you Melvin! Yes, I will do that after I want to put together a a long list first. Do you know any European doctors who specialise in optimal donor management and are able to create natural outcomes with least amount of grafts?

Thanks again!

In Europe, imo, top donor management comes out of bisanga and de Freitas. Couto has amazing results with very few grafts but his donor management is just ok.

i would stay away from any clinic that has techs doing extractions. donor management is much more complex than people make it out to be.

Donor management and "least amount of grafts" imo don't go hand in hand. I'll explain.

Managing a donor is the idea of not taking so much hair so that it's visually really noticeable and detrimental even when grown out.

"least amount if grafts" implies cherry picking the right grafts for placements in the best follicular units for where they're being transplanted. However, a strong influence for this is your hair characteristics. Are you fine, medium or thick haired. How's your hair to skin contrast ratio?

There's so many variables here that it's difficult to really answer this question for you short of a proper and personalised consultation. I would say Dr Bisanga for one has an impeccable reputation but "least amount of grafts" may not be the right word to use for him. He makes sure the hairs as densely packed as possible to allow growth and a natural looking outcome.

There's others too that you may choose or prefer the look of their hairlines. Use the forum to search for patient results to see what strikes your fancy similar to your own hair characteristics and pricing
