Looks about normal for this point in time man. You are exactly where most of the transplanted hair will have shed (full on ugly duckling phase) and waiting for growth to slowly start in the 4th month. Hang in there, it's too early to go paranoid!

@ibrahimx21,

So I read your post but I’m a little unclear about what you have concerns about.  Transplanted hair typically sheds between 4 to 6 weeks after surgery and new growth only typically starts to come in between 3 to 5 months after surgery. At only 9 weeks post-op, I wouldn’t expect you to start seeing any growth at this point. In fact, you’d likely look like you never had any surgery or you may start experiencing shock loss to some of the natural hair

This part of the healing phase here is often referred to as the doledrums and sometimes even the ugly duckling phase.  This is because we often look worse than we did prior to surgery until the new hair starts to grow in.

Long story short, I don’t see any reason for you to be concerned at the stage as everything sounds and looks normal.

Best wishes,

Rahal Hair Transplant

@Rahal Hair Transplant.

I see but if I may ask does it look like 4470 grafts or is it less?

and if I may ask I see few hairs that are transplanted that grew they are very thin as if there is no hair under light do they thicken in caliber and diameter by time?

and before shedding kicked in as you can see u can see through my scalp in strong lightning especially in crown area it looks thin would it have a good coverage when it hopefully grows out?

Thanks alot and sorry for asking too much 😅😊

It looks like it's in the 4000+ graft range. All the things you are mentioning are normal. You had a lot of area to cover, so the crown is going to be thinner. They should be putting about half of the grafts into the frontal third and the other half into the other two 3rds which looks like what they did, so I think the overall graft placement planning looks OK from the pictures. You don't want to spread them all out evenly because then the front will look too thin and you will have a thin, diffuse look when it's grown in and still look bald.

Honestly coming from an unknown clinic the implantation looks quite decent and definetely it is above 4k grafts. We can't really know if they transected those grafts or not from a simple photo though.

All you can do now is wait it out for 6 months to know your results, but I think it looks promising.
