Senior Member HappyMan2021 Posted May 20, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted May 20, 2022 I have a 3 day HT in early June and its likely to be hot and humid. Obviously I'm not going to be working out or chilling out the beach, etc. But I am wondering, if the Uber to and from surgery is really hot, or I'm walking outside and its humid and my scalp starts sweating, can this negatively affect the surgery? The main reason I bring this up is I've never had a multiple-day surgery before. So Night 1 and Night 2 the scalp is going to be extremely extremely raw and wondering if sweating will affect this? Or, would you really need like a shower-pressure like level of water to have a negative effect? For what its worth I tend to perspire easily in general so I'm almost certain there will be some sweat on these brand new grafts. Thoughts? Rahal Hair Transplant
HappyMan, Sweating will not impact your hair transplant procedure. That said, as a general rule it’s always best to regulate your body temperature and try to stay comfortable. Sweating excessively could cause itching and itching can cause scratching and… I think you know what I’m getting at. But simply walking from the car into the hotel/clinic or a short car ride isn’t going to be a problem. But since you mentioned Uber, just be sure to ask your Uber driver to turn the air conditioner on and keep the temperature regulated in the car. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with requesting this as I’ve done this 100 times with no complaints from the driver. but long story short, sweating in itself will not cause any harm to the procedure.
