Canadadry
Hey y’all! So here’s my deal. For my recession area filed by Dr Nadimi and one side is great and the other not so much. It’s much thinner and the line is not crisp like the other side. Shared my concerned with her and she said a few hundred hair touch up could fix it. Great! I was then shocked that they wanted to charge me for full operating room fees and the hairs for approximately 4k! I had just spent 15k and feel like they would handle the touch up to keep clients happy. Is this the norm? With that I’d like to get it fixed but will now do it with DR. ozil in Turkey bc she could add 2k hairs for that 4k price tag for touch up. I hate to leave a bad review but feel compelled to from a customer service stand point and follow up. My question is would you rather bring your hairline a little or add to the crown? As of right now my hairline is probably still about half an inch pushed back or from baseline as a 25-30 yo but I have a very thin crown. Feel like the half inch lowering would make a nice impact but o would then be reliant on fibers vs keeping hairline as is and tackling crown. Thoughts? Senior Member HappyMan2021 Posted May 17, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted May 17, 2022 It's well known that Dr. Nadimi can be conservative to a fault. They should fix it for free, but its not surprising to me they wont.

You'd need to provide some photos so we can provide a proper assessment of which area to focus on Edited May 17, 2022 by mrmane85

Senior Member mafpe Posted May 19, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted May 19, 2022 (edited) Speaking from experience and example heard from other fields, usually its like this : There are several fees that is incurred on an operation. - Doctor / surgeon fee - Hospital fee (basically, rent, usage of room, etc) - medication, anesthesia etc - + other type of fee, depending on what it is. What many 'responsible' doctors would do for a repair is that they waive the "doctor/surgeon" fee that they charge you, in "xx/graft", etc etc. What that means is you cover their expenses on the said work, but they provide you their service for free. "But i didn't get charged those fees you mentioned!" Well, that means what you were charged with are all inclusive including the fees. TBH i think if that's the case, it's pretty fair, because when you go op, you don't want the doctor to say "its 100k", and when you see the bill you see 100k and many other totaling 50k, in total you're billed 150k, right? That's why when they say "100k", it was already all included. *except for the shadier or "cheaper" option which does it so it seems like their price is way cheaper, its a marketting technique *edit : grammar error Edited May 19, 2022 by mafpe
Canadadry
Thanks for all the insight. It’s really helpful. I’ll send pics when I get back in town. To be clear the results are impeccable except the little area I mention. Donor area is pristine and the one side is a 10/10. Just can’t stomach paying that much to touch up a small area. Canadadry
Some photos. Right side recession is excellent. Clean distinct hairline and great density. Left side recession doesn’t have a defined crisp hairline and is visibly thinner. More concerned with the hairline outline on this side. Also this is the side my hair is parted on and I’m unable to do so at the moment. Again outside of this everything looks great especially in the donor area. Would be a happy camper if this area was touched up. Meeting with Dr. Nadimi in 2 weeks to discuss. Hopefully something can be done to improve this without a steep payment 🤞
Senior Member harryforreal Posted June 3, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted June 3, 2022 Would love some close up shots. Very hard to see anything with these two photos.
Senior Member Chetman2112 Posted June 3, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted June 3, 2022 Honestly you look great, I understand your point about the slight difference but everyone has some differences in their hair, but I do see what you’re describing, but again you’re hairline looks totally natural. Do you have any before picks you could share, Im going to be scheduling with Dr.Nadimi very soon.
Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted June 3, 2022 Valued Contributor Share Posted June 3, 2022 To be perfectly honest your hair looks awesome. Also no hairline is symmetrical. What you have is a natural looking hairline that is asymmetrical. I understand the issues you have raised wholeheartedly. But at 25 or so I would not be wasting finite grafts on this. I would leave it as is and think of the bigger plan of hair restoration over the lifespan of supply/demand. Canadadry
No before pics unfortunately. To be clear overall I’m happy and am happy with my decision but after spending 15k i hoped that adding a few hairs to make it more symmetrical wouldn’t be a tall or irrational ask. Have spoke to other docs who have said minor touch ups weren’t uncommon and that they would cover most of the costs.Btw I’m 44 so I think I’m pretty stabilized. If the Dr insists that nothing can be done or that I have to pay what I was quoted for the few hairs, then I’ll just have Dr. Bicer drop some in there when I get my crown done. Not what I want but it’s another option. Thanks for your responses everyone:)
Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted June 3, 2022 Valued Contributor Share Posted June 3, 2022 Dr Bicer is an excellent surgeon and personally would be my only choice if it has to be Turkey.
