Hey all! Hoping to get some advice on which Dr to go with for my hair transplant. Both Dr Yaman and Dr Bicer have recommended 3000 grafts to restore my hairline and add density to my mid-scalp (I'm a NW 3/3v). The main difference I see between them is pricing. Dr Yaman is $3250 and Bicer is $6000. Knowing the Dr involvement is about the same with both (both would be doing my incisions) is it really worth the extra $2750 to go to Bicer?

Dr. Bicer does all the extraction by herself too, not sure if that's the case with Dr. Yaman. I think in addition to comparing these details, you have to search for both doctors' result here and check their results and go with the one you like the most.

I would save money by selecting dr yaman. Double price difference will not give u something more. Dr yaman has shown us great results and so I would select him, because he is a safe choice with reasonable price.

Thank you all for your thoughts on this! Considering Turkey just because it seems the cheapest, and it's fairly easy for me to get to. Where would there be a better clinic at similar price? I could also consider Mexico.

Dr. Biçer is worth the extra money in my opinion. Why only these 2 though? Why only Turkey Dr's? Much better Dr's elsewhere for not much more.

Turkey is really not the best place for a HT. Dr. Biçer is pretty good and HLC seems ok as well. After that I think it drops off quite a bit but maybe a couple of other clinics do good work. I'd look a Dr. De Freitas in Spain, he's a little more than Dr. Biçer but he's considered one of the best in the world right now.

Where are you from?

Can you post pictures of your hair? You can blur your face if you need to.

Remember that you get what you pay for. Cheap Surgeons have higher failure rates. If they had a surgeon performing 3k hair transplants perfectly, they'd have a 3 year waiting list. Can some of them provide a decent result, sure. But, they also likely have a much higher rate of dissatisfied customers.

This is not to say that a 50k HT is required. I'm just saying that maybe look at other Dr's as well. Most of Turkey is a scam and if you can afford it, I'd look elsewhere.

Dr. Pinto is pretty good in Portugal as well. Plenty of others out there if you do some research.

TBH I would go with Dr. Gur/Turan from FUE CAP. They are cheaper and their results are always consistent. Probably the most consistent and best pricing in Turkey right now.

I just got a quote from them too -basically the same price as Dr Yaman which is perfect for my budget. I do wonder why FUE CAP is so highly rated by members on this forum, yet the network recommends Dr Yaman and not Turan or Gur. Anyone know why? From what it sounds like, most people prefer FUE CAP over Dr Yaman - anyone disagree with this?

Dr Turan & Dr Gur have been mentioned more and more over the last year or so, Dr Yaman has been recommended as long as I can remember (least 11 years) the forums recommended list isn’t exhaustive, it’s possible within time they could be added, depends if the community agree and If they want to be considered..

3000 grafts = Dr Yaman is $3250 and Bicer is $6000. This prices are very good IMO. I assume you need to pay for accommodation + transfer and other fees as well, correct? I will definitely contact Dr. Bicer and see what will they offer, because it sounds like a descent specialist.

This ☝️

Also consider that Dr's pay a fee to be recommended here. Some Dr's might not want or need to pay for this. So for Dr. Gur to be recommended, it would have to be a mutual agreement between both parties. This is why the list is a good starting point but that doesn't mean other Dr's shouldn't be considered. Look at real patient reviews to make your decision.

Would anyone know how long the waiting list is for Dr Bicer?

It can vary. mine was 6m but cancellations do happen and also people wanting to move their oparation. I am booked for June but i wish it was September as i don't want to travel in busy holiday periods.

Vey good point - Also seems like a few users CONSTANTLY  recommend Dr Bicer ONLY.
I have nothing against her  - But there are other Doctors who are also worthy a recommendation in my opinion....
