Hey all,
hope you all are doing well. I have been a long time lurker here and got my first hair transplant with dr Bhatti in 2016 dec for my hairline.
You can find my first transplant here https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/47566-2135-frontal-grafts-by-drbhatti-on-24-th-dec-2016/ .
I knew how he worked , it was plain and simple with a single point of contact and all the work except planting grafts was 100 % done by dr Bhatti made him my obvious choice. My first procedure also played a biased role in that.

Background :
I was satisfied with my first transplant although it lacked some more density than I wanted. But being my early progression of hair loss, I needed to preserve my grafts well for future. I was not on finasteride but I planning on getting on them.

I consulted the doctor through emails and we decided that we would need around 2500 grafts to put in my front-mid section , with mid section being the first priority.
According to doctor , my native hair is not receding that fast and I can do well with fins .

Day of the procedure
I arrived at 7 am in the clinic. The pick up and drop off service was top notch.
I discussed the plan with dr Bhatti , he inspected my donor and told me I have a good donor.
Then the harvesting and slit formation was started by the dr.
I was given some breakfast in between , and then the technicians planted the grafts.

Whilst waiting for this to kick in the first tech attempted to place a cannula in my vein for an IV. The first tech had a lot of trouble finding a vein in either of my arms and had to call in a colleague to assist. Then anesthetists finally managed to find it .
After that doctor Bhatti came in to give anesthesia shots in my head which was first painful , but after that he took 15 minutes of breaks in putting anesthesia in order for me to be comfortable.

Then once it was done, he started harvesting and the techs started collecting my grafts simultaneously  .  He took 2 breaks of 5 minutes in between to give me some rest or not scar it ? I was given tea after harvesting was done.
I think he first harvested 2000 grafts and later came in to get 300 more .
Then once the harvesting was done , the sliting part started and the channels were open. I was trying to be as calm as possible and the whole time the doctor was there, it was not much talk and only work. When the dr left , the techs started talking amongst themselves. It was comforting since I knew the local dialect.

Then I was given lunch and then the planting started soon as I was not supposed to waste time since its not for the grafts to be out that much.
Now came time to place the grafts, during which I was hooked back up to the drip so slept for the majority of this. I could definitely sense a mixture of more and less experienced techs (4 in total) performing the procedure. From my impression it felt as though the more experienced tech was working on my hairline which made me feel a little more confident, although I suppose the proof will be in the end result! The techs (especially the more experienced seeming lady) kept saying I had really good grafts and that my donor area is also very good. I kept asking them to be sure and they kept saying that it's going to be a good result.

They could do 2398 grafts in that session as they did not want to overharvest, and I agreed.

Here are the numbers , as they said the higher hair grafts are going to be more ion center.
1*417
2*1589
392*3

There were couple of 100's in my temples too.

I still have around 1500 grafts remaining in my donor area for my future surgery and around 1000 beard grafts.

Cheers and happy growing .

13 day update.
The scabs have started to come out by the means of pink shampoo, gilette foam and aloevera water day and night.
I have also started finasteride 1mg and biotin.
Haven't yet started with shampooing, but will do from 19 th march .   There is a amount of irritation, but probably I havent yet started the shampoo yet that's why.
Currently enjoying the little stubs I have until the "ugly" ugly duckling phase start.

Guys , I know this is not a Eugenix post , but being a long standing member of this community, I would really appreciate to gather your thoughts about my journey.
Hope you all have a good weekend :)

It totally depends on what are you trying to achieve and how many grafts do you have remaining.
If you are receding in the future which you probably will , then you need to conserve grafts for that too.
So in that case the doctor is conservative , and it is probably for the best

@Bharath, Dr. Bhatti had given me an option to use Beard Grafts, which I was uncomfortable with, because I wasn't sure about the recovery. I understand now it's not bad. He mentioned that he could get better density with Beard Graft. Not sure about your situation, but you should discuss with Dr. Bhatti.

Does anyone have any idea on Dr Galani Hair transplant in Surat... I just saw the google reviews.. Not sure if anyone has any experience with this clinic.

Just wrote this on another thread but Google reviews are not reliable at all, you need to look for patient posted  results, and preferably plenty of them. Anyway could you ask this on you’re own thread or start a new one If needed ? This thread is for @vermajresults, it wouldn’t be fair to further derail it. Thanks 🙏
