Senior Member Maxxy Posted April 8, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted April 8, 2010 Dr. Charles was using this product back in March 2009. He stated in an earlier post that it has reduced patient healing times. Has anyone had any experience with H2Ocean spray and if so how did you find it? Dr. Charles, If you read this post, are you still using/recommending this product? If so how do suggest it is used post-op? I'd also be interested in hearing about any other products people have used on the receipt post-op.

Senior Member Maxxy Posted April 8, 2010 Author Senior Member Share Posted April 8, 2010 Hey Bullitnut, Yeah, Graftcyte would be my first choice but it's very expensive and somewhat difficult to get in the UK. I'd have to order online. I'll buy it if I need to but I'd rather not.

Senior Member PanamaJimmy Posted April 18, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted April 18, 2010 Maxxy, Yes, I had a positive experience from using H2Ocean Spray after my HT with Dr. Charles. Of course, it's difficult to know specifically if this made a difference, but following his directions seemed to make my healing time minimal and almost painless. Senior Member Maxxy Posted April 28, 2010 Author Senior Member Share Posted April 28, 2010 PanamaJimmy, Thank you for the reply. Can you remember how Dr. Charles advised you use the product and how often?
Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted April 29, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted April 29, 2010 I'd be interested to hear more about this spray as well. I saw it recently at a tattoo convention and spoke to the rep about it. At the time I wasn't even thinking that it could be used for HTs. It is certainly much cheaper than Graftcyte! Senior Member PanamaJimmy Posted April 30, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted April 30, 2010 Maxxy, I'm trying to remember. I think it was used in place of a shower for the first 2-3 days, and then as an after shower spray from then on. I hope this helps. Senior Member Maxxy Posted April 30, 2010 Author Senior Member Share Posted April 30, 2010 (edited) PanamaJimmy, Thanks for the reply. I don't want to sound ungrateful, though I would like more detailed and conclusive directions, since Dr. Charles hasn't replied as yet I have sent him a private message making him aware of this thread and asking for more details. Hopefully we'll know more soon. Edited May 1, 2010 by Maxxy
Bill - Seemiller
Maxxy, I just spoke with Dr. Charles earlier today and he just got into the forum for the first time tonight to post photos. Since he is regularly involved in helping so many hair loss sufferers here, I trust he'll respond when he has more time :-). Thanks for making him aware of the thread and asking for his professional input. I look forward to his response. Best wishes, Bill
Senior Member Maxxy Posted May 5, 2010 Author Senior Member Share Posted May 5, 2010 (edited) Hey Guys, I realise Dr. Charles is a very busy man and can't reply to every post or private message directed at him, however, if I'm to use this product I really need to order it in the next couple of days. I would really appreciate it if any of Dr. Charles' patients who have had some experience with this product could reply with details on how it is to be used post-op and how often. Failing that I would love to hear of other products that have been used in the receipt post-op (not including GraftCyte). Senior Member Maxxy Posted May 11, 2010 Author Senior Member Share Posted May 11, 2010 Well I must admit I'm fairly disappointed with the lack of responses. I have asked in this thread, sent a message to Dr. Charles on here and emailed Dr. Charles' clinic yet still have no answers to my questions. That being said, I know Dr. Charles and his clinic will be very busy and perhaps PanamaJimmy is the only guy out of 303 views that has used the product. Oh well, onwards and upwards. I have decided not to use H2Ocean spray and will stick with a simple saline solution instead. I appreciate that Dr Charles at some stage was using this product with good results, however, I don't feel comfortable using a product which seems that very little people have experience with and without instructions on how to use it. As I haven't heard anything back, I can't even be sure if Dr. Charles still uses or recommends its use.
Bill - Seemiller
Maxxy, I'm not sure what to tell you. I know Dr. Charles has been busy, but maybe your email was caught in his junk mail. I'm sure he's not purposely ignoring you. Also, I know physicians are still getting acclimated to using the new community so may not be aware that he has a private message from you. Perhaps you ought to consider calling him? Best wishes, Bill
Senior Member Maxxy Posted May 11, 2010 Author Senior Member Share Posted May 11, 2010 Hey Bill, Yeah, I'm sure he isn't ignoring me and my post is in no way meant as a slate on Dr. Charles, I'm just a little disappointed that I didn't find out the answers to my questions in time as I was really interested in using this product post-op. I did consider phoning the clinic but didn't feel the question warranted a phone call so emailed instead. The only place I have found this product is online from the USA (though I didn't search for long), so it's too late for me to get it delivered anyway but I would still be interested in learning more. Dr. Glenn Charles
I instruct mu patients to start using the H2Ocean spray the morning after the procedure. Spraying the recipient and donor area 3 times per day for 3-4 days. Ocean water really helps to heal wounds. Houston123
I have seen this thread before my HT in Dec 2012 and it sounded interesting so, I did some more search in Google. Looked like H2Ocean Spray is mainly used by Tattoo and Body piercing guys. I read some reviews in other webpages, including amazon, relating to Tattoo and Body piercing and they were very positive. So, I decided to use it on the new grafts and the donor area, after mentioning to my doc. This was my first HT, so I do not have anything to compare to but, I did not experience any redness, itching and it felt good on grafts. I used it 3-4 times a day for 7-8 days, on dry hair and let it dry on as per instructions on the can. The scabs from the recipient area were gone around the day 7-8 or so.
