exposure to sunlight

Recommended Posts

hair_care,

Technically, you can go out in the sun immediately after hair transplant surgery. But wear a loose fitting hat for the first ten days. After 10 days, you can wear any kind of hat or head covering that will protect you from the sun.

After 2 weeks, if you prefer, you can apply sunblock to your scalp. Personally, I just prefer to wear that hat because application is messy and makes your scalp sticky.

Honestly, it's always the best policy hair transplant or not to protect your skin with sunblock or a covering. However, if you insist on exposing your scalp to the sun unprotected, I would wait at least 6 months.

Best wishes,

Bill
