You healed up great, and the shaved head looks good, no one would ever suspect you had surgery. As for fin sides what works for me is riding my bike about 45 minutes a day and lifting weights, also I take beet root pills twice a day, the exercise I believe eliminates the side effects of fin, give it a try.

Haha, I also just tell everyone I had a surgery - people are so interested in it.

I posted it on my Instagram and has  A LOT of women with boyfriends/husbands that have thinning hair DM me asking questions, lol

I had the same experience. I went out of my way to keep it a secret for the first 6-8 months or so because I was so embarrassed... But when I finally got over it and started being upfront about it, I found people were so intrigued and supportive - especially other men who were losing their hair and the girlfriends/wives of men that were losing their hair.

I could've saved myself a lot of stress during that recovery period had I not been so hellbent on keeping it a secret, but you don't know until you know! Lol. Glad you're taking this route early on.

I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA. My views/opinions are my own and don't necessarily reflect the opinions of Dr. Mohebi and his staff.

Check out my hair loss website for photos

60 day post op update.

Not a lot of change, but I wanted to keep documenting so other people can reference. I seem to have some shock loss on the back of my head which concerned me a bit, it's hard to tell from these photos but I was swimming this weekend in the sunshine, my gf took a video from the back of my head and it looked like I had a full horseshoe NW7 pattern :\. Freaked me out a bit but I hope it comes back.

I am using topical Rogaine foam 2x a day most days and still on XYON MWF. Had minor side effects (weak erection) nothing else though, and I still think it may be more psychological than anything. If I take 2.5 or 5mg Cialis everything is in working order but I try to not take it 1x a week for sex to see how things are working. With it, there are no issues.

93 Days Post op update:

Well, this has been very exciting as I can now see an actual hairline on myself when I look in the mirror. I find myself more confidently going out and not wearing hats than ever before, and my family and friends are noticing. I didn't expect this much at the 90 day mark but it looks like it is definitely coming in. In these photos I have some hair product in, but no concealers.

My crown is sparse still but hey, that's what Toppik is for, and as my hair comes in I believe it will cover up more. Plan to get another procedure done with Nadimi in the next couple of years, and I am very pleased with myself to have gone with the more conservative approach. I really like the hairline design, even though I don't necessarily have Harry Styles hair I think that I will be OK.

Note: I attempted finasteride (XYON) topical for about 2 months MWF and still got sides. They went away when I stopped, and that's going to be my last attempt at finasteride. Can't stand the stuff down there not working and I find it much too stressful. I have a dermatologist appointment booked in Canada to try and get prescribed some oral minoxidil, and Dr Nadimi said she would prescribe it if I am back down in the states, so will try that.

Starting to look pretty good, and also I think I am starting to svae up to get some work done on the crown haha!

It is looking great though. I love it and feel like a new man. Toppik covers up the thin crown nicely so it does not bother me too much, and my hair is looking better literally every single day. Very happy with my results so far.

Your 4 months are fantastic bro. Wonderful to see Nadimi producing another exceptional result.

We are fortunate to have her. When Konior retires to our collective detriment, it’s reassuring to know CHI will remain in ethical and great hands.

Update as requested. Every week it seems to look better. I just got a haircut and my barber was blown away at the progress. So far, one of the best investments I have made in my life. The confidence I have gained from this procedure is immeasurable.

Looks great man... Curious, did Dr Nadimi do a dense pack?  In my initial correspondence with her, based on my photos she suggested 2000 grafts and a dense pack.  However your recession appears to have been more advanced than mine (I'd guess I'm a Norwood 2.5??) and she used less than 2000...  Just curious to her approach.

I think I'm going to do an in person consult with her next as I feel it would just be way more productive than a video one.

I was actually probably closer to a Norwood 4/5 the majority of the top of my head was wispy miniaturized hairs. Believe it or not mine is as low density as she could go (25% density) to get my hairline slightly lower than it was before.

as someone with fairly aggressive balding one of the reason I went to Nadimi is the quality of work with a  small amount of grafts, and the conservative approach.

i connected with her and she thinks she could sort out the crown with 1500 which would probably still leave me with grafts left over only using 3500 total.
