MPB or diffuse? HT Candidate?

Recommended Posts

I am 35 years old and stabilized my hair loss years ago although by the time I did much damage had been done. Started at the temples in my early 20s and crept into the inverted y seen in the pictures.

I've never considered myself really a diffuse shedder, I've never really lost hair on the sides or back but someone looking at my pics said might not be eligible for transplant due to diffuse thinning.

Are the donor areas in bad shape? I do have one thin patch on the top right side of my head but I believe that is above the donor

I shaved my head 10-14 days ago and went against the grain in some areas so the growth is a bit uneven some places

Donor looks pretty good to me, no worse than average IMO. And your lateral humps are quite high, which is great. Frontal tuft is still very strong. I think you're a great candidate.

Do you have any pics with long hair? That may add more color to your case.

Donor area looks good. Are you on meds like finasteride and minoxidil? Have you consulted with any surgeons? Where are you located?

Yes, you have MPB with a somewhat resilient frontal tuft.  You still have a lot of native hair so I would consider getting on fin to retain it.

When you stated that you “stabilized” your hair loss years ago, are you doing referring to using hair loss meds?…also, I see some signs of possible DUPA along with overall diffusion however only several in-person examinations will determine your situation.
