Senior Member baldiee Posted December 14, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 14, 2020 (edited) I was provided a sterile staple removal by the clinic (don't live near them). Has anyone let a family member take out your staples? Instead of paying $100+ to see a doctor/nurse/etc for 5 minutes. Seems pretty easy. Regular Member naakmuka Posted December 14, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted December 14, 2020 I was provided with a suture removal kit. But I didn't use it and ended up going to a Dr. to get them removed. I have black hair, and the black suture thread was kinda tricky to remove in my case. So i just thought it would be better for a pro to do it.
Senior Member voxman Posted December 15, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 15, 2020 My wife removed my sutures. But the assistant at the clinic removed the staples (it was a free visit anyway). I would guess that if your Dr. gave you the tool and instructions, it should be okay. Just make sure it is someone with a strong fortitude in case there is blood. There may be some stinging, too. Do not ask an alcoholic Uncle under any circumstance. 2 I'm serious. Just look at my face. My Hair Regimen: Lather, Rinse, Repeat.
