Regular Member HelpfulFriend Posted December 8, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted December 8, 2020 Hey all, I've been on finasteride and minoxidil for about 5 years now, and it definitely slowed my loss. I was probably nw2 when I started, and I've slowly crept up to nw3. Most of it has occurred recently. I know fin doesn't stop loss, it just slows it - so my question is: if I'm still slowly receding on fin, and it's noticable, is it worth getting a HT? My worry is that I'll keep receding quicker and quicker, and I won't be able to keep up with procedures/run out of donor. For reference I've just turned 30 with heavy balding on my dad's side, and not so much on my mums. Cheers
Senior Member Britanium Posted December 8, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 8, 2020 Fin has varying degrees of success. For me as a high Norwood I already accepted my fate and just chased the loss without using it. If it’s slowed it down for you then at least your only up to a 3. Can you share any pics ? Thanks 🙏

Regular Member Cody95 Posted December 31, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted December 31, 2020 Have you considered dutasteride? Sometimes it can be more effective if fin doesn't quite do it. 70% dht reduction vs 90% on dutasteride
