can transplanted hair can fall out permanently?

I had a hair transplant 7 years ago. Is it possible that the transplanted hair falls out permanently

The transplanted hair can fall out if it was taken from outside of what's called the permanent zone on the donor area. If hair has been taken from a DHT sensitive area then it can miniaturize/shed.

Thanks for your reply. I went to a well known hair surgeon so I would hope he harvested the hairs from the permanent zone.

I wonder if its because i use topical rogaine and am temporarily shedding transplanted hair. Have you had any experience in this area?

Can you share pictures? Theres such things as seasonal sheds. Looks like you had strip, it’s not likely that the strip was taken from an area that was susceptible to DHT.
