Senior Member Dazed Posted October 5, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted October 5, 2018 I am 3.5 weeks post 2300 FUE. I have been very gentle with my grafts. I have not touched them. I wash my hair daily by pouring baby shampoo over my head with a 44 oz. cup. I do not rub in the shampoo. I have not even touched the recipient area. I spray the grafts with a saline solution 4-5 times a day. I let my hair air dry. I was not this gentle with my first 2000 FUT in 2011. How careful are you guys with the recipient area. Moderators Al - Moderator Posted October 5, 2018 Moderators Share Posted October 5, 2018 You are being too gentle with it. You should be shampooing regularly after about 5 or 6 days to start getting the scabs to come off. Al Forum Moderator (formerly BeHappy) I am a forum moderator for hairrestorationnetwork.com. Regular Member SBSinNYC Posted October 5, 2018 Regular Member Share Posted October 5, 2018 Don’t smash your head into anything. Wear a hat on sunny days. The follicles are in place after 10 days. Wait as patiently as you can. I know that’s not easy.
Senior Member Dazed Posted October 5, 2018 Author Senior Member Share Posted October 5, 2018 I have no problem continuing what I am doing, and I have about 2 weeks of baby shampoo left so I want to use that up anyway. I was just wondering if anybody else was this gentle. I do wear a hat in the sun. My haircut looks so bad it is easy for me to remember the hat. If I do FUE again for the crown area I would just get a buzz cut. "Imagination frames events unknown in wild fantastic shapes of hideous ruin, and what it fears, creates." Senior Member Curious Posted October 6, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted October 6, 2018 I don’t think there is any benefit to spraying saline at this point. You should shampoo thoroughly.
Senior Member Dazed Posted October 7, 2018 Author Senior Member Share Posted October 7, 2018 Unless I have missed it I am a little surprised there are not detailed instructions on after transplant care. Sure you can pick up bits and pieces from the threads, but I haven't seen anything that is centralized. I am basically still following the doctors advice until I use up the baby shampoo, and saline spray.
