Regular Member anonym1234 Posted August 21, 2018 Regular Member Share Posted August 21, 2018 Hello everyone I am a 20-year-old guy from Denmark who suffers from early male pattern baldness which is why I am going to have a consultation with a hair transplant doctor in Denmark for him to determine whether or not I should start using Finasteride/and or Minoxidil to prevent any further hair loss. If I do not experience any further hair loss after taking the medication for 1-2 years would I at that time be able to have a hair transplant in order to recreate my hair line? And what doctors in EU would be the most qualified? The price does not matter too much. Thank you in advance everyone!
Senior Member Speegs Posted August 22, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted August 22, 2018 (edited) Do start finasteride. Minoxidl is up to you, I personally found it a hassle, but finasteride is incredibly effective for most men and taking a pill is no hassle. I began at age 21, and am now 34, finasteride allowed me to keep most of my hair except for what I lost in the frontal third, and this allowed me to do transplants exclusively in the frontal third of the scalp. Realistically, you need to wait till 24 or 25 before proceeding with a transplant, it will give you a better idea of your hair loss potential.
