  1. Hello guys Since the start of october I have been taking Finasteride 1 mg once a day to prevent further hair loss (I am a 20-year-old guy at NW2 atm). I can see some 2-3 cm hairs regrowing in both my temples (primarily in the left temple) and also some hair in the frontal hair line. Can this be used to confirm that the Finasteride is working and has stopped my hair loss? Thanks.
  2. Hi everyone. I have started Finasteride 1 mg about 3-4 months ago and it seems like the hair loss has stopped and furthermore I have noticed some hair regrowing in the temples. Why should I worry about further hair loss? Doesn't Finasteride stop any further? I am not going to have a hair transplant until 5-10 years at least.
  3. Hi Like Thank you for your comment. I have just started taking Propecia in order to prevent any further hair loss (hopefully). And you think I should be at least 25-30 years old If I were to have a hair transplant? Even though my hair loss maybe (hopefully) will slow down rapidly or even completely stop because of Propecia? Thank you.
  4. Hello again Melvin. I totally agree with you. I just wondered what the best surgeon(s) would be if I were to have a hair transplant in the future. Thank you.
  5. Hello everyone As of today I have started taking Propecia and hopefully I do not experience any side effects. Futhermore it is also very cheap compared to what I thought it would be. Around 27 $ which is nothing compared to if I were to have a hair system
  6. Hello everyone I am a young 20-year-old man from Denmark who suffers from MPB. I have had a consultation with one of the few hair transplant doctors in Denmark (dr. Zontos) who has told me that I should start using Finasteride to prevent any further hair loss. Therefore I am going to have a consultation with my docotor tomorrow to make him prescribe me finasteride. If I were to have hair transplant in the future to recreate my hair line (and temples? i dont know if they have reeceded as well) who would be the most qualified doctors in Europe? Money is not an issue. Thank you Mathias
  7. Fuck I had no idea I was thinning on the top.. How slowly would you build up to 1 mg? Could you give an example? Thank you
  8. Hello everyone Thank you. In regards to my crown I have taken a picture right after I showed and one after I blowdryed my hair. Does it show any sign of thinning? And in regards to taking Propecia what would be the most ideal to do? 1 mg (one pill) every day or divide it into quaters/halves? Thank you very much.
  9. Hello again Jean In regards to my crown I am not sure whether it is balding or not. My hair dresser always tell me that i have heavy swirl in the crown area. Could it be a swirl and not thinning? Thank you
  10. At what stage on the norwood-scale would I be placed at atm? NW1 or 2?
  11. Hello Jean Thank you for your comment. In my family history balding is not something my father and uncle started to experience before they turned 40. No one in my family has even been totally bald. My older brother (36 years old) does not suffer from any hair loss at all. I probably will lose more hair if I dont do anything but I never think that I would be completely bald. Is it possible, as you mention, to lower the dose by cutting the pill in quaters/halves? Thank you very much Kind regards Mathias
  12. Hello everyone I am a 20-year-old young man from Denmark who has started to experience some recession in the temple areas. Unfortunately I am not certain when this began but I think it started when I was 18 years old. Therefore I went to have a consultation with one of the few hair transplant doctors in Denmark, dr. Zontos, who told me that I do indeed suffer from antrogenic alopecia (MPB). He told me that it would not be ideal to have a hair transplant surgery as I would probably just lose more hair and it would not look normal. I totally agree with this. He told me that I should have a consultation with my doctor and make him prescribe me Propecia. However I am very scared of possible side effects but I have also read that only 1.5 % do suffer from any side effects. I am not sure what to do Please give me some advice Kind regards Mathias
  13. Hello everyone I am a 20-year-old guy from Denmark who has experienced some hair loss in the temple areas over a few years. I think it started when I was about 18 years old - I am not entirely sure though. Therefore I am going to Copenhagen (capital of Denmark) to talk to a hair transplant surgeon where me and him together can determine whether or not I should start using Propecia in order to stop any further hair loss. However I am very scared of possible of side effects because whenever I read something online it just says how terrible the side effects of Propecia can be. Have any of you guys taken Propecia? And have you experienced any side effects? I have attached some pictures so you guys can see where I am currently at with my hair loss.
  14. Hello everyone I am a 20-year-old guy from Denmark who suffers from early male pattern baldness which is why I am going to have a consultation with a hair transplant doctor in Denmark for him to determine whether or not I should start using Finasteride/and or Minoxidil to prevent any further hair loss. If I do not experience any further hair loss after taking the medication for 1-2 years would I at that time be able to have a hair transplant in order to recreate my hair line? And what doctors in EU would be the most qualified? The price does not matter too much. Thank you in advance everyone!
  15. Hello all Thank you for your help - I very much appreciate it. I have written to all of the Belgium doctors who this sites recommend asking them what they think I should do. If I were to have a hair transplant in the future what doctor would be the most qualified to create a new, natural hair line? I have just seen so many hair transplant where the hair line does not look natural and I definitely do not want that if I ever were to have a hair transplant my self. Best wishes Mathias
  16. Thank you all for your help. I am not sure what to do but I will found out. What do you think of this article? https://www.bernsteinmedical.com/answers/finasteride-propecia-minoxidil-rogaine-work-front/ Could a combination of Finasteride and Rogaine maybe grow back my hair in my temple areas?
  17. The problem is that there is really not any reputable HT specialist in Denmark.
  18. Hello everyone I am young man from Denmark who was born with a big forehead. I have always been very insecure because of it but now as I have gotten older and realized that it is more common that I actually thought I have started to not care about it as much as I did earlier which is why I started to style my hair (I started in the end of 2017 to do it - before I always just had bangs and let it grow for like 2-3 months until it reached my eyes and then I got it cut again and so on). And that was when I started to realize that my temples had reeceded a bit compared to when I was young and had a almost straight hair line. I really hate and I am just so afraid of it getting any worse. That is why I have started to look into what solutions I have to might treat it. I know that I am way too young for a hair transplant and that it would not benefit me at all. But then I read about Propecia and the effects it can have. That is why I am wondering if Propecia actually can recreate my hair line so to speak? I have heard that it works really well when taking early on in the process of losing hair. I think my temples started receding about two years ago - I am not certain though. I am going to talk to my doctor in the following week about my hair loss and maybe he will prescribe me Propecia and I can try to see if it works for me. What do you guys think? I have attached some pictures (probably 3 months old)
  19. I am so thankful for you telling me about this. I actually think this is what I have been searching for all this time. I have just seen some pictures of what a strip of hair can do to one persons facial appereance. Oh my god. Thank you so much!!!
  20. I would actually rather wear a "wig" or a toupe or whatever you want to call it instead of having a hair transplant or hairline lowering surgery. Hopefully this "lace hairline" will be the solution!!
  21. That looks very promising! Thank you very much. "As I said, the best thing you can do is consult with a doctor in person who can diagnose whether or not you have Male Pattern Baldness (MPB)." Do you mean a hair transplant doctor? In Denmark there are only two and the first clininc, as I mentioned in the beginning, did not want me to come to a consultation because they said it would be a waste of my time. Or do you mean my doctor I go to when I am ill?
  22. In regards to the question about my grandparents I can tell you that my grandfather on my mother's side did not suffer from any hair loss. Unfortunately my father's father died when my father only was 5 years old so I have no idea.
  23. My mates also often ask me: "why don't use style your hair? and i'm like "..............." .. so frustrating. I know this is only a problem rich people like us living in the west are having but I really just hate my forehead and I just think it is so unfair.......
  24. As I mentioned earlier my brother does not suffer from any hair loss but my father has lost some of his hair in the temple areas. More than I have at the current stage. And yes I actually hide my forehead with some fringe "having my hair down my fore head" but I just dont like it and whenever it is windy outside I really don't feel like going out. I am working at th moment and my friend always asks me: "hey you wanna go for a walk" and I actually would like that but I always refuse because most of the times it is quite windy here in Denmark
  25. "Additionally, the hair system I'm referencing isn't a full system, it would only be a partial hairline hair system; meaning it would blend in to the rest of your scalp. They have hairline and crown systems which blend in to the rest of the hair on your head." Are you talking about toupes now? The clinic told me that they offered hair extensions but that they weren't ideal as they would easily fall off or something like that. Should I really start doing medication to prevent further hair loss?
